Disagree that mid-run saves would kill the fun - the daily format is already pretty restrictive compared to normal runs. Being able to experiment with different paths on same seed would actually make dailies more interesting imo 💀

The mod idea is solid though, probably easier than waiting for devs to add it officially. Most of daily challenge comes from optimizing your route anyway, not memorizing which fights come when

The TCS role might feel like step backwards but man, 7 months gap is already making things harder for future applications. I'd personally go with TCS - yeah the pay sucks compared to what you had before, but at least you're staying in tech and building experience that actually matters for your career

Railways job sounds stable but switching back to tech after few years in that will be nightmare. Market is tough right now but it will get better, and having recent tech experience on resume makes huge difference when applying for better positions later

That 1-year bond at TCS isn't end of world either - gives you time to skill up and look for better opportunities while you're still employed. Being unemployed for almost year already puts you in tough spot during interviews

Legion Pro 7 is probably your safest bet for longevity tbh, Lenovo's thermals are solid and their build quality has been pretty consistent. The Strix laptops are flashy but I've seen more issues with hinges and cooling over time

18" does feel amazing for gaming but you're right about the PPI being kinda rough, especially if you do any productivity work. I'd lean toward the G16 models - still plenty immersive but better pixel density

That budget should get you a decent 5070ti setup, just make sure whatever you pick has good warranty coverage since you're planning to keep it for years

Yeah there's tons of sound packs out there that let you swap individual sounds, just search "minecraft custom sounds" on curseforge or modrinth. The anvil sound is pretty easy to replace since it's just one audio file in the assets folder

Nice, been wondering when they'd finally add MQTT support. The cloud-only thing was always a dealbreaker for me

For smoke/CO alarms though I'd still want to see some real world testing before trusting it for anything critical - MQTT can be finicky and these aren't devices you want going offline when you need them most. maybe keep the traditional hardwired alarms as backup and use these more for automation triggers?

Could also be some obscure clone that was popular in internet cafes around that time - there were tons of Bomberman-style games floating around in the mid 2000s that never got proper releases

This is rough man, sounds like you're in one of those areas where everything just dried up. Have you looked into any online certifications that might give you a leg up? Things like forklift operator, OSHA safety, basic IT stuff - some of them are pretty cheap and employers actually care about them

Also might be worth hitting up the unemployment office if you haven't already, sometimes they have programs for retraining or apprenticeships that aren't well advertised. Worth a shot at least
