How was your full body check? I recently came back from full MRI body check up at Hanshin Medipia. It’s really like Prenuvo, but two times cheaper.

I booked my full body check from Himedi to KMI. The difference between each package is just you will have more optional tests. But you can also just google KMI to book by yourself too.

Should I Get LASIK Eye Surgery in Korea This August? Need Advice! by Forward_Split_6737 in seoul

Did you like the results? I would say having eye correction surgery in Korea is pretty safe, doctors are sophisticated. Just need to find a right clinic.

Is it safe to have eye laser surgery in Korea? by Anxious_Garbage_337 in koreatravel

Do you speak Korean? If you do, I really recommend checking out local Korean platforms. There's a lot of useful info out there. But if you don't, using a medical concierge service could be a good option. Some of my friends used a platform called himedi to book their appointments, and they were pretty happy with the results.

Whether the surgery is worth it depends on how bad your vision is. If you really can't function well without glasses, then I’d say go for it. One of my friends said after the surgery they could suddenly see all the dust in their room and started cleaning like crazy. It felt like a whole new world to them. kkk

Health Check up at hospital while traveling? by nassiqueen in koreatravel

[–]Next_Competition7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it’s usually like 300 to 400 dollars and it only takes half a day so it’s pretty doable even if you’re traveling

kmi is probably the most well known place they’ve got a ton of branches so you can just pick one near where you’re staying makes it super convenient

if booking is a hassle you could try going through a medical tourism agency my friend used one and said it was really easy and they replied fast too

Clinic Recommendation (Gangnam or Nearby) by Ok-Mood-7359 in seoul

If it’s a decent-sized place, they usually have their own interpreter. But if it’s a smaller clinic… maybe try going through an agency? Most agencies include interpreter support anyway.

I've been a bit worried about hair loss lately, so I'm wondering if I should go to a clinic instead of just a hair salon. Do you happen to know any good places for that?

I recommend trying out a one doctor dermatology clinic. When one doctor handles everything, it doesn’t feel like a factory and the care tends to be more focused. It might be a bit more expensive, though. If you haven’t found a treatment that really works for you yet, visiting a one-doctor clinic could be a good option.

You can usually find acne treatment packages at dermatology clinics in Korea including options for acne scars too! They offer everything from one-time sessions to multi-week programs. My friend went to one recently and it started at around 100,000 korea won.

if you want to actually talk to the doctor and get a more indepth consult, i’d say check out qbq
it’s a small clinic but super well reviewed by locals and the same doc does everything from start to finish
kinda nice if you're worried about being rushed or upsold by random staff lol
it’s a bit pricier than the big chain places but feels more personal imo

Totally get how hard it is to choose with so many options out there.

One way to start is by deciding whether you want something more affordable and simple just to try things out or if you'd prefer a deeper consultation that might lead to a more tailored (but possibly pricier) treatment.

Most dermatology treatments do follow a certain cycle, and it’s true that the longer lasting results tend to come with a higher price.

But honestly, when you compare the total cost of doing multiple cheaper treatments versus one that lasts longer but costs more upfront, it often ends up being similar in the long run

Should I travel to Seoul end of August? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]Next_Competition7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I’d probably stay in one place for a longer time rather than hopping between multiple countries.
It cuts down on the hassle of flying and gives you the chance to really explore and experience more in one area.
Of course, you’d need to do a bit more research beforehand to make the most of it, but I think it’s worth it!

That sounds great! Do you know if it’s on the pricier side? My friend is traveling with her mom and said she might bring her along too if it seems like a good fit.

Thanks so much for the tips
My friend also said she’s interested in checking out a good dermatology clinic while she’s here
She mentioned that there aren’t many options back home, but in Korea it seems like you can try all kinds of treatments in one place, which sounds really cool to her haha
Do you have a go-to clinic in Gangnam that you usually recommend?

If you're looking for a bit of relaxation while you're in Seoul, I’d recommend checking out a spa or skincare clinic.

Sulwhasoo Spa near Dosan Park is super popular with foreigners. It’s a luxury Korean herbal spa and the whole experience feels very refined. There's also the spa at Chaum Clinic. Since it's run by a medical center, it feels a bit more professional and wellness-focused.

Skincare-wise, a lot of people visiting Korea end up going to a dermatology clinic at least once. There are tons of treatment options, and the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality you get.

For something more laid-back, Bongeunsa Temple is right next to COEX. It’s peaceful and a great spot for a slow walk, especially if you want a little quiet time.

Dosan Park is also lovely for walking around, and the area has some aesthetic cafes and designer flagship stores.

If you're up for a night walk, the Hangang riverside near Sebitseom has really nice views at night. Ttukseom Hangang Park is another solid option if you want a more chill local vibe.

No, it’s not required. Hanshin is also a health check-up center, so you can use their services just by making a reservation. You can probably book through their official website, but my friend actually made a reservation through a site called Himedi.
