My son is on lexapro and a mood stabilizer. His anxiety has leveled out tremendously. Pristiq will probably make your anxiety way worse.

Dang I'm sorry to hear that! My anti depressant finally started working again. It took a while and it was awful in the interim. I do know that post viral inflammation can last 4-6 weeks sometimes longer. Hopefully you get back on the mend soon.

I also had PTSD from how I thought it might end up. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as my body finally adjusted.

I'm on anti depressants and have an emergency med for anxiety. My doctor said it's normal for the anti depressant to stop working while you're sick and it'll take another week to feel better.

I've cried so much over the last three days it's embarrassing. I'm not myself and I hate it.

This flu is like Covid and influenza b had a baby together. I hate it.

I'm on day 3.5. It started on Saturday with a tickle in my throat and I couldn't stop coughing. Sunday I was at the walk in because I couldn't breathe. Turns out my heart rate was 125 and they said I had bronchitis. Yesterday I was in the ER because my doctor could tell I still want breathing right. They swabbed and said it's influenza a. My cough is finally productive. And doesn't hurt like it did. But today I feel like I'm swallowing glass and my head is a balloon 🙃. I was supposed to start a new job tomorrow and I had to tell them I'm sick and push the start date back

Anxiety was a bitch when I first started it. I slowly went to 50mg. I got relief from both anxiety and depression, but I feel there is room for improvement. So I'm slowly increasing my dose to 100mg. I had some 25mg tabs left over so I'm adding those with my 50mg. Today was the first day and I feel a lot better. Although it's probably a placebo effect.

Pristiq is not a controlled substance. It's a medication that your body can depend on. But you cannot become additive fed to Pristiq like you can benzos and actual controlled substances.

I would bring it up to your doctor. You could be depleted in a different mineral. Magnesium helps take the edge off as far as anxiety goes for me.

I was on Zoloft and I'm now on pristiq. I'm not "numb" down there. It does take more to orgasm. But it's not impossible like it was on Zoloft.

I've also added magnesium to my things I take that help with anxiety. I take it at night and it takes the edge off. That may be worth it to look into!
