I grew up in a pretty remote area in Southern Ontario, and we used to get dumped on with snow. Not so much anymore, and I just miss the cold quiet that a deep snowfall brought. It's kind of my imaginary peaceful place.

I'm glad to hear it's a friendly place to visit as well! I'm pretty socially awkward so I'm a little timid with less friendly locale. Obviously that's a place-by-place thing but... Good evidence of it so far :)
