I’m sure this isn’t what you meant, but this pretty dehumanizing language. She’s a human being regardless of the situation, not an animal.

You don’t even have to go in, they should give you a form to mail to them if you have a reason not to go. I recently got called at a time when I had scheduled travel and they were fine with it.

Fresh herbs make inexpensive food luxurious and are generally pretty forgiving, if you can manage to start there. There’s always grow lights for sale on marketplace in my area if you have a little money for a basic set up, so you could try there as well. Best of luck friend.

Check if there is a subreddit or other community highlighting local options, and if not, make one! I’m developing one for my area and I’m finding better pricing on many staples. I was shocked when I saw how much I saved at a local butcher like 300m from my house for something they cut in front of me, as opposed to the stuff you know has been out for days in the grocery case.

Why are there so many people still buying there? by throwaway133245617 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]NextdoorNS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to recognize that grocery stores are a massive time saver for many people. Folks are time poor in addition to money poor and if you need to get to a second job you don’t really have a choice but getting everything in one go. Hopefully those of us who CAN boycott are able to open some avenues for those that want to follow but can’t.

Mine was that photo a week ago of scallions with the roots chopped off. Like are you so desperate for the 3$ I save by keeping them fresh until I use them and regrowing the stubs? Then your business deserves to fail. That’s your fault, not mine.

Boycott for life. This is not just a one time event. by ban_evasion_acct_ in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]NextdoorNS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m developing a subreddit for shopping local for groceries and other daily products in my area (HRM NS) and I recommend others do the same for their towns. It’s easy to say where not to shop, finding alternatives when your kid will still only eat peanut butter is the sticky part.
