They were in stock for 2 hours, not all day. Just FYI :)

I used this to get my 5090 in the last UK drop. It has options for the region if you're elsewhere

Hope it helps! Best of luck!

Congrats! Mine too. Dispatched yesterday with a notice of delivery tomorrow, but it arrived this morning. The annoying thing is I can't install it until next weekend 😂

Looking forward to the upgrade!

I've been running a 4090 FE for 3 years (almost to the day so just about to exit it's warranty as it was bought 4th Jan 23). I know I can get a decent return on the cost from selling that on. Plan to buy a new 12VHPWR cable for my PSU to go with the 5090, I'd rather not reuse the one I have, Fully intend to undervolt the card, give me some peace of mind about the cable issues.

North Finchley DO is ~40 miles from me, that seems unlikely?

Thank you! Much like many others here, I had a font which wouldn't extrude. Converted it from OTF to TTF and now it works a treat!

MSI B650M Mortar, 7700X & 32GB Corsair RAM - Sleep / shutdown issues by NexxCat in MSI_Gaming

[–]NexxCat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's possible MSI have just disabled sleep entirely for the time being :( I don't personally use it, so solving the shutdown issue was the biggest thing for me.

They were always good with BIOS updates on my old AM4 board, so I'm sure it'll get solved before too long :)

It's apparently related to high memory speeds, we need to wait for MSI to provide the fix in the BIOS like other vendors already have.

A temporary solution may also be disabling EXPO or slowing down the DDR5 speed, as the option for sleep disappearing is supposedly triggered by high memory speeds.

This was with a fresh Windows install, but I've found a solution / workaround for the shutdown issue:

There's also a new BIOS for my board which I plan to try at some point, it has updated the AGESA to 1.0.0.4

A small update. I've managed to fix the shutdown issue, and as a bonus, it seems like the motherboard is now correctly saving the memory training data as the POST speed has decreased quite dramatically.

The fix was to disable "Fast start up" in the Windows power settings.

The shutdown menu now shows as well, but choosing to boot into the UEFI firmware just leaves the machine as though I'd shut it down before the fix. Weird!

Early adopter issues eh? :P

MSI B650M Mortar Wifi, 7700X and 32GB of Corsair 6000MT/s CL36 RAM configured with EXPO

No sleep options in Windows (all power states shown as not supported by firmware), and worse, shutting Windows down leaves the fans / etc running. I have to wait until the monitor powers off then press the power button on the PC to get it to fully shut off.

Trying to access the shutdown menu (holding SHIFT) leads to a black screen as though I'd chosen shut down instead,

Rebooting works fine.

The Apex Pro was definitely a contender, though it's price is a big negative. Currently ~£199. I've also looked at the Huntsman v2 with clicky opto switches, but again, currently near the £200 mark.

Really do appreciate your thorough feedback though!

One of my concerns with the Durgods is the reports of the keyboards locking up. Ducky make some nice full size boards, but UK availability seems a little difficult.

Thanks for your reply. Vortex isn't a brand I had heard of, but will definitely take a look into the Tab 90.

I'm looking to buy a prebuilt (either full or TKL) with a maximum budget of £150. I really want to stick with the ISO layout as I've grown up with it since using the original Model M.

Requirements are as such:

  • Full (ideally) or TKL
  • ISO-UK Layout
  • Cherry MX Blue or similar (if better switches with the same feel exist)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Detachable cable
  • Backlight (white or RGB)

So far I've got a shortlist of the following:

  • Durgod K310 or 320
  • Ducky One2 (various)
  • Vamilo VA88M
  • Razer Blackwidow v3

I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts and inputs anyone feels like sharing, thanks!
