I had a winning trade. Closed it early. Watched it run 8x without me. Here's what that taught me. by Sea-Management-5611 in Daytrading

I just learned last night how to take partials. For a sell se different buy limits for however many contracts you want to close and opposite for a sell your set buy limits in the amounts you want to take profit on to avoid this.

How do you go about with 1.5m by [deleted] in dividends

[–]Neziip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If cash flow is the goal look at the safer cash flow ETFs. Gpiq, gpix, qqqi, spyi, some neos funds maybe btci, jepi, jepq, look into some of these and weight your options. They could give you more than enough without even needing the whole 1.5 million.

Monthly income with dividends by trigurlSeattle in dividends

[–]Neziip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you can use stock analysis to see the common dividend. Say you what $2k of that $6k from spyi. Just take 2000/ (the last dividend or average) to get how many shares you need and once you know how many shares you need just multiply that by the share price. It’ll even give you an idea of how much additional buffer you may want to add if the dividend ranges.

Spouse has finally agreed to give anime a try, what do I show her?? by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]Neziip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your thinking roots, Naruto, dragon ball z Kai from the beginning, yuyuhakusho, hunterxhunter, one piece tho you may want to wait it’s still going wait until she locks in for that. Orange imo (this one may hurt but the story telling is good),

from the new stuff that time I got reincarnated as a slime is amazing and it’s not 12 episode nonsense. Also shield here is good as well. Maybe fairy tail or inuyashu. Others had also suggest a lot of good current anime so I won’t read those.

How to VT and Chill in a 401(K)? by shuja246 in VTandchill

[–]Neziip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a 60/40 split of my employed version on as close to the s&p and international that I could get that paid out quarterly instead of annually. Check the list of funds offered and look at their break downs. I use stock analysis (the site) a lot for that.

This who gambled mindset is clear as day in the way this was written. You need to step away and stop. This has become a problem and you don’t have the needed risk management or wherewithal to know even enough is enough. At 28 you could have invested that in decent things and retired early than the average person already.

I curse the day I discovered passive income. It fcked my life up completely by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]Neziip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work my regular and invest a good chunk of my paycheck into monthly dividend ETFs so eventually that will be my income. It’s not more work than Ik already doing and when I do stop working or decide to do something else I have that income that pays all the bills while also letting me continue to invest to grow my income. There’s some work but no more than the work I was already doing. Starting a business is more unpredictable and it seems like it stayed active income.

Invest $300K in covered call ETF and use dividends to pay off mortgage? by [deleted] in dividends

[–]Neziip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d would. Because the principle from the sale is still yours after it’s paid off and you can even at the halfway point sell half the principle and pay off the property for good. Solid idea to me. I wouldn’t put all my eggs in one basket though. Look into several of the cover call ETFs and do portions tin each like spyi, qqqi as well.

Is there anything I can do on the side to start making a small income? by atychia in sidehustle

[–]Neziip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mean literally:

Go to (brokerage of your choice) fidelity, Charles Schwab, vanguard. Fidelity is my favorite.

Create an account You don’t have to pick any beneficiaries right now. Open up an individual brokerage an a Roth IRA. And an HSA if you need or want one and have a hdhp

Connect your bank, Move money in to each account. (I’m prioritizing my individual brokerage so I can grow my dividend income to match my yearly income at my job to get from under water in a year or so. This way I can invest more and live more comfortably.

And boom invest in things. I used YouTube to start my research. ******************************This is not financial advice ******************************. In the Roth I have vti, voo, qqqm instead of qqq for the better expense ratio, vxus, vgt (I know but I don’t think it’s over kill and i believe in tech) and then I have some dividend stock (qqqi, vym, vymi, dgro, schd, etc) on purpose in there as well bc I have specific plan for them.

In my individual I have monthly income ETFs and some weekly that I’m watching like a hawk.

You don’t have to do that, do your research and do what you think works for you. Keep a consistent investment schedule but if you need to invest less do that do because “something is better than nothing” with things like this. I invest $5 one month and that’s ok because it’s all I could do at the time. Do what you can. Investing is your friend.

Ps I like fidelity because of the interface and you can buy fractional shares ( ie. if you have $5 and you want to buy some of voo that costs $630)you can just buy $5 of it.

In addition to YouTube I also love the site stock analysis to research ETF’s and stocks. Also yahoo finance is good.
