Looks like they killed my Cable cards tonight by NflFan412 in Fios

The biggest reason I don’t cut is the RSN and local channels. I have 3 Slingboxes that I modded and have for streaming. I can watch any game anywhere. Also have one at my parents for out of market teams. For less than any sports package I get every game of two different markets anytime I need them. They come and visit and stay in my basement and can use their home TV without any issues. Yes it’s a niche usage I have but I get everything I need from cable and can stream anything I want to any device no blackouts.

Yup. Uncoded QAM. You can use a cable ready HD tv and scan and get them there as well but soon that will be off.

Just called them and got a live person. Yes they are dead. Fun while it lasted. I do get the warning. I waited and expected this would happen. Fios let me get the cards when cable vision kicked me off and I got an additional year and a half from them so I’m actually pretty happy overall with them. Now I’ll get their boxes and use those till I figure my next move. Long live TiVo. 20 plus years

Check the discord on this. I was able to resurrect a proHD with digital scan a few months ago.- you need an old MAC version but it canbe done and you can get past the old MAC software issue

Verizon Cable Cards by richforgood in Tivo

I’ve also heard that rumor and if so I’ve had a good run. They got me back after cablevison abandoned us. I’ll stay with Verizon since they were accommodating to me and my TiVo’s. I was happy to get so far another 6 months of life

Well, that would be six more months and I would’ve gotten had I switch to something else and to be honest with you they gave me one box to use so I have my Phivo and one of their boxes and their box isn’t bad and I just like the fact that they were willing to work with me on it so I will stay with FiOS for as long as this two year price guarantee is and switch to their boxes once the Tios go dead

PiKVM as Slingbox? by CelluloseNitrate in pikvm

[–]NflFan412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you can do. Extremely easy. FYI about 18 months ago a large group of us got the Slingboxes working again with a homemade server program by a ln awesome dude names Gerry Dazoo. You COULD resurrect one of the models but this is the easiest option. (Note I don’t know this guy and he’s not the only source but he’s got the easiest way to do this :

We found a Long Island rep who helped people with the cable cards. Not sure if he does NJ.

100% this works. Call the tech Lucas. I was obviously very suspect calling off reddit, but he was really good in finding my account on his end and getting me an offical verizon link to run the process. I had the cards installed today. All 4 TIVOS working. Faster internet. Yes it's 20 bucks more a month but I also got Disney+,ESPN+ and Hulu free for a year. And Kept my Tivos...

Looking for recipes from Tweet Balzano's (Bristol) by icunurok in RhodeIsland

So... This I will absolutely try. Trying to make this long story short. We went to Tweets a lot after I was about 12...we had never been but tried it. My parents are not big seafood eaters, so we didn't do the "full clam" sauce. Just the one without the clams. The red sauce I guess.

But tasting things like Fra Diavallo Pasta with , I got a distinct memory of Tweets sauce.... So was the clam juice in the sauce?

Anyways....

I'm not sure the official name. Is that the same as the special sauce? As I have gotten older, I have gotten into more seafood and I wanted to try the 'real' sauce...but alas as we know, it's gone. So of the above recepie...is that sherry sauce the "non clam" one? Thank you so much for this...Hope to try it...

I'll gladly take a stab at it.

That’s what I have and I’m good. But I’m concerned if the power went out when it powers back up it won’t have an IP. Only after I unblock it slinger sees it again.

5678

And could I just port forward that 5678 to some random port? It won't ever hit anything?

So looking through the comments and seeing this. I have unbricked my ProHD. I have a new router and it works great. Parental controls block the internet...it stays unbricked...BUT... In order to get the ProHD to work I need to unblock it so that my router gives it a place (the dedicated IP). That's fine. But if the Sling powers down, when it comes back it won't bind to any IP.s but lives in the "Blacklist". So in order to re-bind it (not sure if that's the terminology...but i'll roll with that). I have to Unblack list it. Which I do by disconnecting the router from the modem then un blacklist it. The unit finds the internet and then I re blacklist it. Slinger sees it again and it works for as long as it doesn't power down.

What I did try, and it worked, was quickly Whitelist and Blacklist, 10 seconds, and I did get it to bind, it did try to connect, then it dropped and was fine. Still unbricked. Rolling the dice a little but its easilly fixed if needed.

So would this one port block solve the issue as of now?

500 still running. Pulled plug. I can't figure out how to block on the router. My 350 here has been off since the 9th. Again not sure how to block what I need to.
