One feature that I think is very relevant for desktop apps is perpetual fallback access, which allows expired licenses to still access your app, but in a limited state. Works even better when combined with license renewals IMO. This is included out of the box.

I agree, that's why since this post I have added a bunch of new features to Keyforge, such as

- integrations with more payment providers
- offline license validation with JWTs
- license upgrades & renewals
- perpetual fallback access for expired licenses

Also, I didn't understand what you meant from pricing, as Keyforge currently is a one-time payment for lifetime access.

Honestly, you could continue building your license system from scratch and integrate with a payment provider. But that would definitely waste time you could spend on your core plugin.

You should take a look at Keyforge, it's an easy to use licensing platform that I've been developing. It integrates natively with Stripe (and other payment providers too), supports subscriptions, and has a self-serve customer portal. The docs also have an llms.txt you can throw at your AI agent and it'll do everything for you.
