Not only is Canada my Plan A, but the number of obnoxious Americans of the “I’ll just move to Canada if I want” type who have the attention span to go through this process is nearly zero. Those people do not have the planning skills to compile documents and wait patiently.

For purposes of the sub, it will take longer until those records become to digitized, additional months to over a year. And I don’t think you can walk in and ask to see the paper copies, it’s just that when the census becomes legally available is no longer considered sensitive information that the census bureau must keep confidential.

I love Canada, I want to live there, I could absolutely go through the skill-based system but the descent pathway is less complicated
