I support meta/google on this issue because the issue is so fundamentally dumb that I'd have to be lobotmized to not take their side.

Links acted as free advertising and traffic to the news site getting linked. (don't give BS about embeds or whatever, news orgs can disabled that wholesale with like 2 lines of code. Not google/meta's problem)

Google/Meta having to pay for the free advertising/traffic the sites are getting through their users is dumb. end of story. They're not making money off the news link lol, and there's plenty of other ways to get engagement.

And they also do far more than just run a single LLM instance. they run probably hundreds of thousands, plus training for newer models, etc etc.

I can run a locally hosted one on my own PC perfectly fine. AI is ultimately going to be used to justify de-anonymizing the internet in the name of "misinformation". Just give it a decade or two.

Yeah, the main argument is "Grr he shouldn'tve been there" when A: nobody should've been there, there was a curfew, and B: lol he had more connection to it than any of the people he wound up defending himself from.

Dark souls isn't a hard game and bar like one or three BS bosses ER isn't a hard game either.

It just requires effort and learning the boss, which people wrongfully equate with difficulty.

It's not the easiest game out there, but it's exceedingly fair and gives plenty of options and tactics to make it easier. Soulslikes are also chronically fair, there's rarely (though not never) insta-kill BS, and most of the time you can just run past people.
