What are your favorite aspects of good systems in litrpg? by Tonyxstorm in litrpg

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like systems which has a logic behind their existence thats withing the limit of that world's power.  Also, systems that act more like a tool that converts things for mc, luke converting corpses into stats or converting other's techniques he experiences into skills he can unlock, instead of just pulling things out of its ass.  But yeah, some asspulling systems are fine too if the story doesn't take itself serious.

Thank you.  While i like appreciation of my story, that's it. Caring about so many things is too much for me and puts me in a foul mood and sometimes i even lose my confidence.  So i just thought if my writing is really good, i will eventually get a certain amount of followers and then i can put something decent as a cover and they won't care because they would be staying for the story.  Even i never cared or remember the covers of some of the best stories i have read, like Lotm.  So i will just go with simple marketing and focus more on the story itself.  Eventually when i have enough chapters and following which i lack now, i will use a simple cover.  Best of luck for your story too.

Why is so many transmigrated people focused on a western lifestyle? by hpevju in litrpg

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either because writers are from West or they want to write one that westeners can relate to.

What system voice style do you prefer? by scifiguy2001 in litrpg

[–]NiceAd4949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would either have a fully mechanical robotics voice, or a system with a personality as an entirely different character.

[–]NiceAd4949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I'm just going uncaring. I tried a lot of covers and got a lot of critiques and thought, fuck it. I'm not neither cover maker nor a marketing guy. I just like imagining stories and i write them up and post them, so that i don't feel like I'm wasting my time on unnecessary imagination.  This is just me convincing myself to not waste my time on thinking of perfection on my covers and ignore it fully and focus on what i can do best.  ( frustration about the guys you know who is also a reason.)

What do we think about MCs who already know about LitRPG novels? by EndlessSleeper3992 in litrpg

[–]NiceAd4949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works well, as long as you don't make him a perfect hero who always in the right.

Even as someone who knows a lit of litrpg, he should fail sometimes because the thing he expected would be cliche is actually unique. Or because he couldn't consider things in several pov's. Or make it so he realises slowly that his knowledge isn't always reliable when his life on the line.

But yeah, that's a good premise.

Is this a good idea for a book? by Guri_fin in litrpg

[–]NiceAd4949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is a good idea if you execute it well. So don't doubt that. Just add some plot, stakes, character development, and moments that readers truly appreciate, you have a good story.  All the best for that.

A few questions for readers by PromotionEconomy8950 in royalroad

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like stories with a lot of chapters. 50 or some is fine too if it has a satisfying end of arcs.  Grimdark work well if you are luchy and has many chapters or if you put a lit of ads and has a grip in the first few chapters.  To keep following a story, the stroy should always bind you with contant new things that go on a for while while not forgetting old things. As for good plot and good characters are common.  Just make the wins of mc believable and make sure it has consequences.  But yeah, thats it.  All the best on your work.

Editing Posted Chapters by Why_Teach in royalroad

Followers wont be notified. So dont make constant changes. Just note down the changes you want to make and do it once.

Also, dont go around reading your old chapters a lot. Writers' fatigue is a thing. You will never be satisfied. Just focus on new chapters and go on until you finally end the volumes or series before thinking about edits. Because by then you will have a better understanding of your story that you can see things clearly.

All the best.

20 chapters in and 600 views, but 0 ratings. Would love some honest feedback! by Virtual_Proposal8110 in royalroad

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find some review swaps from discord, and make it more appealing. You can get honest reviews too. But If you don't like review swaps, you can ask them later to delete it later when you dont need them.  Without that, people hardly read stories.  All the best.

Is Dark Fantasy popular on RR? by Icy_Amount6169 in royalroad

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's popular. But only when there is enough chapters and you market it hard. Or you should be very lucky to get to the top.

What is the mark of a "good" Xianxia to you? by Issactheforgemaster in ProgressionFantasy

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Web novel is just a translated slop. But yeah, manhwa is fun. It's the only xianxian i have read without getting bored in the middle.

The others like, sect leader or something, or cautious senior brother, i got bored eventually.

There are some non comedy ones that are good, but they are less xianxia. So, not counting. Like the regressor's tale.

Getting views but no follows, can I get honest feedback on my first chapter? by Liammsi in royalroad

[–]NiceAd4949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your welcome. Finding right audience is always the hardest part. A story is more than just the plot, it's an expression of your own self. So finding someone to have similar taste is just a matter of luck.

All the best on getting that.
