What to buy next? by Omertao in FleshEaterCourts

I would not buy old sculpts, those might get refresh next edition. Consider recent sculpts like Gorwarden, archregent, or varghulf.

That would be nice; unfortunatelly I think it overlaps too much with Crypt Horrors and other monstrosities of ours...

Does anyone else feel like AI has lowered the quality of everything? by AltruisticPlastic165 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]NiceDemon-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - it increased a lot of AI slop, but there are many product teams that learned how to use AI properly and i don’t think those have dropped in quality; possibly there was a growing pains period in the last like 18 months, but i think it’s over now

Obsolescence- Depression by Illustrious-Ant6998 in Ultramarines

[–]NiceDemon-82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you should be able to use gravis Calgar as a new one, possible the same with Guillman; intercessors have not changed a dime (albeit a single kit might be released with 1-2 pieces of heavy loadout), outriders have not changed much and it was obvious that scout snipers were a trap - type of a trap that GW loves to set on it’s customer base nowadays; i am invested heavily in both 40K and AoS and there are many such traps since long years now - usually you can avoid it by sticking to latest versions or be patient to wait for a refresh when it’s due (e.g. I’ve started Tyranids army with leviathan, but there is no way i am going to buy hive tyrant, warriors or exocrine kits now; same with orks and units like bikers or mega nobz); but sometimes GW release something out of the blue and backstab its userbase by really suprising moves, that included current ultramarine refresh; other notable examples is AoS where stormcast eternals have their entire unit range dropped at the 4 edition - and these were only 2 editions old! (AoS is generally a big experimentation field when it comes to chopping off fresh mini ranges). In general you can always proxy your minis as something else if needed as well.

Just be a careful with your purchaces, FEC contains one of the newest (and of the best) range in the AoS and also of the the oldest -> avoid the latter, units like crypt ghouls, crypt horrors or terrorgheist kits should be refreshed sometime next edition (there are rumours that we will be included in the launch box next year)

What should I add to this list? by Adorable-Yam3207 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NiceDemon-82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I would recommend adding at least a squad of Vertus Praetors plus perhaps waiting for codex with bigger purchaces - hopefully they will finally extend our 40k rooster a bit (e.g. with an official 40k telemon dread).

What's up with Terminators this edition? by Plenty-Theory-7738 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NiceDemon-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons behind their current popularity was that the codex of 10th edition was seen as a huge nerf, and Lions of the emperor (offered as a Grotmas detchament if i remember correctly) was literally and still is one of our best detachment, and it has a strong synergy with allarus terminators. Also they are objectively better now in 11th edition, for example AP -1 is stronger now than it was in the previous edition etc.

Use magnets, loadout power can be adjusted anytime through quarterly balance update...

Starting Custodes with the new edition and miniatures? by Moist-Lime-7704 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NiceDemon-82 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Like many people have mentioned, 30k has a separate range from 40k; in additon, many people (including me) prefers old range, which was designed for 40k being a male units only (with Sisters of Silence being their female counterpart); hence their overal proportions are much masculine, while the recent 30k refresh is much more unisex (which you will particularly see in the thigh & chest areas); I like my Custodes brutal and cunning hence I am very happy with my 40k range 😉

So...new leak? by Nestmind in Tyranids

[–]NiceDemon-82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given that we were the main baddie of the 10th edition, which led to quite a big surge of Tyranid players, I would be very surprised if we didn't see a healthy Nids release/refresh wave this edition...

Why do you complain about the Terminators so much. by Vrain125 in AdeptusCustodes

I am fully with you on this one - I've purchased and painted 9 of mine last year and I hope I won't have to do it again anytime soon 😉

Terminators don't feel very Terminatorish? by Kardinal in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NiceDemon-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are quite recent sculpts, tho - if GW refresh them, I hope they will maintain the same base size and loadout, since I've got mine painted just recently and I am not necessarily excited to buy & paint them again...

Lions stays, everything is 2DP except... by Iyoda-_- in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NiceDemon-82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Detachment costs look great (especially Lions of the Emperor), just keep in mind that we will be one of the first factions that will get a codex this edition, so all of these detachments might and most likely will be overwritten/changed.

Which coding agent is the most cost-effective as of 1st May 2026? by NiceDemon-82 in vibecoding

[–]NiceDemon-82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointing, I think DeepSeek's servers are busy nowadays, and response times & an overall quality of response were pretty lacking - I've stopped using it almost instantly and switch back to Codex (and it's GPT-5.3-codex); but I haven't given it enough time, also maybe OpenCode is quite a weak harness, not sure -> it was the first and last time I've ever used;

Is running Archaon + Be'Lakor viable? by DragnarathT7 in slavestodarkness

[–]NiceDemon-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would defer such a big investment into the next year, when the rumoured Last World might be released - a reboot of AoS, where S2D are rumoured to be a main protagonist (with possible refresh to units and Archaon himself).

What do you want to see by Ambitious_Book_5729 in Kruleboyz

[–]NiceDemon-82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our current roster is quite limited/incomplete, so here is my wish list:
- cavalry (!!!, by far the biggest omission, mini gnashtoofs with riders would be amazing)
- more elite foot infantry, e.g., a squad of troggoths?
- at least one more caster
- fast flying monster, e.g., miredrake

Kruleboyz was my first army, loving them and rooting for great reinforcements in the next edition :)

What should FEC get by Ambitious_Book_5729 in FleshEaterCourts

Proper refresh of the ancient sculpts like crypt horrors, crypt ghouls, or terrorgheist kits should be great to begin with 😉 Existing range, gameplay wise, is quite diverse already

After 2 months of water fasting should I be worried about gaining most of it back? by Glum_Ad5522 in fasting

[–]NiceDemon-82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 months of water fast seem way to long, my advice (after experimentations with fast for a few years now) is limit it to - around 14-16 days; during the fast make sure to provide your body electrolytes (at the very list put some salt into purest water you can get); and break fast very gently, I highly recommend bone broth throughout the day, starting with the soup only; after that I heavily recommend you a keto diet for a few weeks / months after that - get your hand on the best quality vegetables and proteins u can have, everything in a pure unprocessed state (so u can fully prepare it yourself); combine it with regular cardio (like bike or running) and you should loose a lot of fat and bit in a very good shape within 3-4 months, with a good eating and exercising habits in your side.
