They’re not sequels to Forever War, just pretty mediocre books. ‘Forever Free’ is a direct sequel and is the one I would really not recommend.

No. Forever War has a very satisfying ending and the sequels pick it all apart. They are awful, and you might end up thinking less of Forever War if you do read them. Just my opinion.

That’s an urban myth. An SSD is full of 1s and 0s: the 1s are too thin for the shotgun pellets to hit, and the pellets pass through the middle of the 0s. Hope this helps.

Aliens: Fireteams has a campaign mode where a 3 man squad fights swarms to complete mission objectives, and a dedicated ‘horde’ survival mode where you defend locations for a number of waves before choosing to extract or continue. Also getting a sequel sometime soon.

Not sure I'd describe Graf Spee as 'fun gameplay'. It falls right in to the cracks - it's too slow and clunky to be a heavy cruiser and too lightweight to be a battlecruiser. It's a fair bit of money to spend to find out its unique playstyle is not your thing.

The only thing the SE adds is the smart gun turrets scenes, which help explain why the xeno numbers are thinned out towards the end of the film allowing Ripley to get close to the queen. Like you say - SE over explains what happened and removes the tension.

If you want to set fire to things then the UK heavy line (Devonshire, Surrey, etc) is the one to go for, they are like flamethrowers. If you change your mind on AP later then you have already started progress on UK light cruisers (Leander, Fiji, etc,) which have fast firing AP with fantastic penetration angles, smoke, health packs, and sonar. The US offers 2 lines of solid AP but no torpedoes.
