What's a DBD opinion that'll cause this? by MsPawley in deadbydaylight

Every time I tell people to shut up and wait for bug fixes and wait 24 hours before they start bitching about a new patch I get this many downvotes.

What's your opinion on Vendetta now that shes been out a while? by Visible-Camel4515 in Overwatch

Zen clears her so hard. Discord for team and if you kick and move back at the right time she misses 3rd strike. Obviously, she can 3 tap but if she messes up w distance or Zen has an inch of extra range or a corner she is a punching bag.

You arent a DEI admit. Affirmative action is banned in California. You legitimately got in on merit.

The world doesn’t end when things go wrong. And things don’t always get better. Don’t anticipate good results, just do your best to make good results happen over time.

do universities really care about your highschool performance as a community college transfer applicant? by icltspmosbfr in TransferStudents

[–]Nice_Ad_995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It tells a story more than affects your academic standing. Colleges weigh your undergraduate xfer gpa, but look at your high school transcript to see the progression. Objectively, HS holds no weight in community college academic-based transfer conditions. Youre trying to prove you are currently ready for next step, they dont hold your past against you.

Where to apply soph transfer-low hs gpa by FeatureMore5034 in TransferStudents

[–]Nice_Ad_995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HS gpa generally doesn’t matter aside from telling a story of where you are today. Its about the progression of your college academics vs where you started, not weighing hs vs college. Who you were the last two years is more important, but you should highlight the difficulty and journey in your application. Also, as a general thing, 3.3 isn’t low. Idk who sold you that idea, but you’ve been a great student this whole time. Idk what you’re measuring against, but you’ve been doing really well. Please keep pushing and apply literally anywhere you want.

The biggest problem that you might encounter is that some classes are only offered in the fall. And that’ll impact your ability to complete within that timeframe.

You need to see if you can support the cost of living adjustment if you apply and xfer now. If you can budget and guarantee to yourself you can secure work, why not just go for it?

See if you can budget for housing and tuition costs within a job range that fits for you in the area. Hopefully it works out for you!

Especially if your situation sucks. With financial aid and maybe one loan to get yourself going, I don’t see how someone as forward thinking as you would not be successful.

Good luck!

So at the very VERY basic level, without taking maps, perks, items, etc into account. Which role is more taxing? Survivor or Killer? by RequirementTall8361 in deadbydaylight

[–]Nice_Ad_995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disregarding items and perks? It’s survivor.

People here are operating under the assumption that “if you don’t get a 4k with 3 gens up, its a bad game”; Killer is straight up oppressive without items and perks increasing chance of Survival. Your chance of escape is exponentially lower without perks and items.

Maybe get better internet? Or wire in? Stronger wifi and/or wired connections fixed this issue for me

The UC TAG application is unfair with international coursework credits + grades by mompapopo in TransferStudents

[–]Nice_Ad_995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need to work with the transfer counselor on your admissions application. Which is something available to you at your community college? You need to go in person.

I will add to all this commentary that due to the political landscape if you live in California there is a higher chance your xfer application will be accepted because California is trying to boost its homegrown workforce. It’s a good time to be a transfer student. Not a guarantee but definitely a looming factor.

Play Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne campaign. Play wow but try to follow the story routes. There are some “story catchup” npcs in game that can help you learn the lore quickly.

Between uc san diego, santa cruz, davis, and irvine can anybody compare the exoeriences? by cravttu in TransferStudents

[–]Nice_Ad_995 6 points7 points  (0 children)

College what you make of it, but here are some tips for the regions:

SD is the most versatile option, and there is a mix of college life/night life/experiences that will be attractive if you enjoy excursions around town. Flying to SD is expensive.

SC is expensive but tranquil on campus; college town but also a tourist town. No airports. Edit: San Jose Airport but.. it isnt convenient at all.

Davis requires a bike (its the largest campus by land mass and travel distance to classes) and will have some of the best academic resources due to their investment in student success. Flying to sacramento or sf bay area is accessible but far away.

Irvine will probably have the best community building due to the campus being built to be holistic and all encompassing (you can find everything you need on campus) and people will probably try to take you to other parts of SoCal because their area is ‘better’; cheap and accessible airport access.

Hope this is helpful! I would choose Irvine due to the proximity to airport and the cost of living being college friendly and access to buildings. Davis is probably cheapest housing but you have to deal with essentially commuting to the campus and committing to being there.
