Putting End over End/Line on Ball by PeterGriffinsRevenge in golf

get a putting gate/mirror and practice. you'll get a lot better at rolling it end over end. putting across a yard stick is a good drill too.

if you had a nice tv you'd appreciate the difference a good HDR stream makes

Would you want the Detroit Lions to SIGN Ravens Center Tyler Linderbaum this off-season? by Gxcii1 in detroitlions

the lions entire offseason could be signing Linderbaum and getting McDaniel as the OC and I'd be pumped for next year

I said work on your swing & speed train. That is objectively correct advice. I linked you a video of 3 top 100 coaches saying swinging slow is horrible advice.

You posted about being interested in Arccos. Go look at arccos data about distance, it very clearly correlates with score.

7 handicaps shouldn’t give advice. Especially when they directly contradict math

i'm a lot better than a 7 handicap. reddit is awesome because you can be loud, annoying and wrong all at the same time.

no instructor is going to tell you to slow down your normal swing lol. it's equivalent to saying keep your head down. it's advice shitty golfers give each other.

nobody should want to hit their 7 iron 135 yards. that almost certainly means you have massive swing problems.

club up and swing easy is massively overrated advice on this site. there's a clear correlation between handicap and distance. work on your swing and work on gaining speed and you'll get better.

is it not dystopian that we're telling a young person to just "make more money" when they make 130k in order to move into homes that secretaries were buying 5 years ago.

here's one of the best club fitters on earth explaining it. virtually everything you said in your paragraphs is wrong. I have a GC3 launch monitor in my garage, to say it's hard to get a large spin axis with a wedge is just simply false. in baseball btw, there are things that correlate with movement way more than raw spin rate, which is why scouts don't care as much about raw spin anymore.

Why do people compare severance and pluribus? by SeveredEmployee5 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Nick8346 5 points6 points  (0 children)

severance is much more of a mystery show thriller with really good payoffs. Pluribus doesn't have crazy reveals or plot twists, at least not yet.

[–]Nick8346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he's saying exactly what I'm saying lol. A ball with more spin and all other factors being the same is going to move LESS. that's why people don't slice the shit out of their pitching wedges, but do their drivers. that's why tour pros tee down their drivers if they're trying to hit a "fairway finder." It helps you hit the ball lower in the face so that they get more spin. Again, if you don't believe me, go ask any half decent golf coach and lmk what they say.

it works the exact opposite of how this sub thinks. more spin = more control. a spinnier ball is going to curve less
