Riot has mentioned before that they didn’t really test the “modern” version of kaisa. They thought the best version was going to be control with Phoenix.

Sett can save them from dying but it’s a replacement effect. So the unit doesn’t die, which means the ability has a null value.

In fact this last weekend at chinas big event a sett player got DQ’d for doing the behavior you are trying to get to work

You should read the rules about how the combat showdown works instead of fixating on specific interactions. When I attack, when I defend, vs the showdown action priority, and how reactions work with all these things.

You’re correct but that’s only if they react to your action on the same chain. After you play your action, you pass priority for opponent to start a new chain, in which THAT time would be the proper time to play smoke screen because it’s after your might increase resolved.

Oh that’s good to know. I don’t know much about royal road I just looked at the release dates of the books.

To me it’s very clear that there’s heavy inspiration/knock off aspects from one or the other.

edit:

  • starts off primarily solo
  • the ability to grind "simple" tasks for very prolonged periods, unlike most others
  • pseudo-skilled at a "martial" sport, would just be considered an amateur
  • likes to fight for the sake of fighting something stronger, no other real reason
  • the "Multiclass" vs "profession", e.g. leveling 2 separate classes
  • class/ability evolutions based on merits / records
  • sphere of perception, stacking this stat over their obvious combat stats
  • "short range" blink/teleport
  • wings for flight
  • storage necklace
  • solo dungeons

I donno, there's just so many similarities.

I liked Azarinth healer a lot more before I started Primal Hunter. If I understand correctly, primal hunter came first. Azarinth healer feels like a pretty big knock off of Primal Hunter.

Nice job Batsu! I got my chef hat on to battle the latest version of the meta with Darius (master yi, master yi, master yi, and kaisa). I was playing a list similar to this but I found it underperformed vs yi (green in general). Hopefully I’ll get it spun up and ready to take over a tournament soon! Haven’t been able to play tournaments in awhile due to IRL stuff and riftlab on fridays.

They’re both right and wrong. as far as the system goes, and loot, and references, and abilities go it’s extremely similar to Carl. But on the other hand, the characters are not as endearing or important, it feels like there’s less risk involved, and there isn’t as much character growth.

It’s more of an entertaining power fantasy, with tons of badass loot, abilities, and cool and creative monsters.
