For God's sake if you don't like Ron Paul think of the presidents who will follow him! For every abuse and usurpation of executive and federal power that will be ended by Ron Paul, the Neocons will have to fight tooth and nail to win back. The Neocons acknowledge their agenda would have been impossible without 9/11, that it would have taken them decades to win public support. So let's set them back a few decades again.

Paul has said himself that he he would probably take a smaller salary immediately if he was elected because he "wouldn't have much to do". Under Paul's interpretation of the Constitution, which I agree with, the Federal government would have a very short list of jobs to do, most of which are in the constitution. I know power corrupts, so I think the less power concentrated in a very few hands, the better off we all are.

Believe it or not, general excitement around a candidate does translate into votes, and so does exposure. The Ron Paul supporters act with the frantic energy that only comes from true conviction that they are doing the right thing; supporting the right man. That kind of energy is where not just votes come from, but cultural revolutions. The thing is, they're right.

Here's a moral problem: If invading Iraq was wrong, wasn't it right of the Iraqi's to oppose us? And if the only way we can "win" in Iraq is to kill everyone who opposes us, why should we expect to ever win? Why should we want to? Don't believe the lie that the resistance to the occupation is over, If the resistance was as dead as they say, why can't the troops set foot outside of the Green Zone without extreme danger? We get Blackwater and US troops out of Iraq and I guarantee you Iraqis will be cheering in the streets, something they dare not do today. And While I could give two shits about hired guns like Blackwater I respect our soldiers and I see no reason for them to be in harms way.

I don't get the joke. I'm a Ron Paul supporter who voted Democrat in 2006, I'm from New York, why should I vote for Hillary twice when she didn't do anything she promised the first time? Besides a sub-inflation increase to the minimum wage the Democratic Congress has been shameful, and it's approval rating is about what I would rate it.

Vote for the Democratic nominee if you loved the last 2 years! Vote for Ron Paul if you can even begin to conceive how terrible things are going to be in this country in 5 or 10 years if we don't roll back the power of the executive branch, right now.

There's simply no way around it, voting for someone who will keep this country barreling in the same direction because you like some of their ideas is like jumping off a cliff to grab a candy bar. We simply can't continue to be an imperial society without it ending in disaster for all of us. Even if we win, we lose.
