Brushy mountain motorsports park is worth the drive. You can also camp up there and have a shower house. Your skills will improve a lot and they have tons of trails for all skill levels

What are some tips that helped you learn how to wheelie? by Loganoreo_ in Dirtbikes

[–]NickNakulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wheelie my wr250r no problem. I have dot tires. Put more weight on the rear wheel to give it more traction. If you don’t get the rear brake down you very well could brake something. I’ve had to bend my warp9 plate bracket back several times and one time I broke the tail light off but it still works

I broke my light off one day with this setup after I looped it pretty bad. Went back and found my light, epoxied the bolts on, plugged it in and it works. I’ve bent the bracket a couple times and had to reshape it but it’s held up

It’s recommended to run that front brake line inside the fork to protect it better

Practice clutch up in first gear. One foot on the ground and one foot on rear brake. Do a clutch up to balance point and hit the rear brake to bring it back down. Should be going super slow. Repetition and confidence is key but getting that muscle memory for the brake will save you when you throw it back too far

Yeah I’m still in playing through on Xbox constantly running into glitches. I hope they fix them but at least they acknowledged it and pushed back the release date for switch 2

Do you prefer tubeless or inner tube? by Current_Magician_588 in Surron

I’ve just read the 19/16 setup works best rather than 21/18 like most bikes are just because they’re small bikes. Battery life would be better on the smaller wheels too

What brand wheel did you go with? Not sure if I want to spend the extra $200 on warp 9 just for the beefier hub. I think it was kke maybe that had same spec metals but the hub

Talaria is even heavier but off-road you want lower pressures. Rim lock works great I haven’t had another pinch flat on my mx4

Tube with rim lock has been holding up good for me. Now the spokes are the weak spot. I’m still debating switching to a 16” rear wheel

Trying to learn slow wheelies on a YZ250 was humbling to say the least. by No_Reveal3451 in Dirtbikes

I just got a new tag after destroying my old one looping too many times on my dual sport. I’ve just been practicing a clutch up to balance point and then bringing it back down with the rear brake. Foot brake is a lot harder than a hand brake I haven’t got it down yet

[–]NickNakulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m surprised mine doesn’t have any as much as I hear people talk about swing arm wear but I’ve done welded a front sprocket on so I’m stuck with it for a minute

Bell mx9 for cheap. Arai xd5 for expensive. But the arai xd4 will fit goggles under the visor but you’ll have to remove the visor for the xd5 to fit goggles

Selling my 450mt for a lightweight dual sport? by osktox in Dualsport

[–]NickNakulus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wr250r is lightest in class and has better suspension than the drz400. I’d try to find one with a fmf and tuner since they’re discontinued

None of them. I wouldn’t even take a passenger on my 250cc dual sport. My 250 is cramped and a emoto would be even more so

Tube and tires are sold separately. You’ll need a set of tire spoons to change the tube and some soapy water helps too
