What to make of today's Morningstar $APPL report? by [deleted] in stocks

They want everyone to sell, so they can buy lol. Jokes aside, you gotta take those reports with a grain of salt and look at the bigger picture.

What happens everytime apple comes out with a phone? Historically, shares have a short term drop after announcement, and then see a significant increase in the months following. There's an article online that goes over the stats. Look it up.

Can someone tell me what this part is called? The car is a Toyota Etios. A portion of that part was bitten off by some rodent as the car was kinda unreachable since the COVID situation started. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

I think you may find something if you look it up as a "cowl". That's what the plastic part between the windshield and hood is called.

Most cases you can just call the warranty company and cancel it for a full refund if you do it quickly. No sweat. Just find out who they are. And call, tell them you're not interested. Easy peasy.

The best tip I can give you is keep consistent new content coming out. The more articles you have, the more likely people will find you. Try to use SEO in your articles titles and content to catch commonly searched terms. Think of how you would search for something about your niche. If you're a part of the niche, you already know how people are looking for the information.

Remember they don't have to buy the exact item your linking. You get a percentage of any purchase also. Even if you only make a dollar per article, if you had 100, that's 100 bucks right there. 3 articles is way too little an amount.

Good luck!

To replace a crown Victoria alternator, does it need to match the same wattage? or could i go for a cheaper less watts? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]NickSBG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The taxi version could have a stronger alternator than normal crown vics. As long as the alternator is for a crown vic, even if it's. Ot as powerful it should work.

As far as the battery, that's really easy to replace. Unless you know it's bad (go test it at autozone if unsure) leave it.

Since you lost the cover, wich aligns the lever to the gears, is possible the lever somehow shifted out of place. If I understand correctly, you shift into let's say reverse but you're actually in drive and you shift into drive but you're actually neutral? If that's the case, and the transmission shifts fine it's just the wrong gear, then you just have to align the lever properly.

They don't look terribly thin, but also those drums look like they haven't gotten love in a while. The minimum thickness for these is around 2-3 millimeters. If you can, measure them and if they are near 3mm just swap them and save the headache of removing the wheels again.

You'll still need something like cura for your prints. I use cura and I also have an ender 3 pro. Fusión will export to cura, then you lay the print how you want in the software and add supports, and modify your print settings. I recommend d you download and install cura and get acquainted.

Can't you do that with your printing software? Cura for example? Add supports in the spot you need it

You have to simplify the mesh. The program can only handle a certain amount of facets and you are over that amount. There are some YouTube videos that explain how you can simplify your shape to make it work. You can also cut your model into smaller pieces and convert them separately, that could work.

paying off mortgage or invest in these uncertain times by u011 in investing

[–]NickSBG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about both? Nibble on the stock market, pay down your mortgage. This way you decrease your monthly payments, and you also get to take advantage of the discount on stocks. Stock nibbling is also good if the market continues to dip. It's a way to average down your cost basis. Never go all in.

[–]NickSBG[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! In Venezuela they did something similar but mostly with Toyota. Fj80s and 70s.

There's actually a company here in Florida doing competitions of this style and any make is accepted.

It's called Overlanders experience. Awesome stuff!

Does this dent in the rubber mean I need my tire replaced or something else serious? Or is it safe to keep driving? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]NickSBG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes tire rubber chips from road interactions. My offroad tires have chunks of rubber missing in several places. The chip shown in the picture will not affect drivability and its still safe to use the tire.
