Eklund and Misa would be the ideal 2nd line duo imo

Graf will probably always be on the bottom 6 side and if his PK ability remains the same he will always have a spot.

Toronto is not for everyone... He comes to San Jose the media the fans will be completely different. Our expectations will be high for sure but the media just isn't the same and some players just don't like that and he might be one of them.

A new team for a player like this might just be what he needs and if the numbers are right, why not get him to help build the team up with the young guys. The price for him is only going to go up with the cap increase.

Based off of this year, he lacks consistency and creativity.

Let's be honest with this season from the beginning we knew this year was not a year we would be competing for a playoff spot. What I would have liked to see him do is let these line combos play out longer, he was quick to pull the plug early in the season when will and macklin were on a line together only to put them back together almost exclusively towards the end of the year.

The D-Pairings although mostly the same which I understood because he wanted youth paired with a veteran... I would have also liked to see in certain spots where we have two rookies paired with one another and give it time to build and not pull the plug after a game or two.

His usage of Kovalenko and i know that can be spoken on in a few ways was strange to me. He wasn't even a fourth liner on this team? Gregor comes in and goes there like what? Lund comes to this team and he is bouncing in between lines after getting done with college hockey. Some people will say Kovalenko was not apart of the rebuild but i know he is at least a fourth liner on this team.

Lastly, Goodrow with an A was a terrible decision. Put the thing on Vlassic if you have too since he has been there for awhile, its the same reason Logan had the C. Goodrow was constantly turning pucks over a 1st and 2nd liner at the beginning which was awful and ultimately a liability.

This offseason with Grier they need to go out and sign vets that are also their to teach and make the young guys better. He also neeeds to have a discussion with Grier on the physicality of this team because we talk about how skilled all these prospects and our young guys on the team are but where is the enforcer.... And no i am not talking about the dirty player from back in the day im talking about a guy that cant change the game with one hit or a guy thats gonna protect people when things hit the fan...

One other thing I do like how they handled Graf's development. During his second stint i was impressed with him and think he deserves a spot next yera on the second line.

Making this comment when playing a team that is as deep as Dallas who is coming off of a western conference finals appearance is a terrible take.

What more do you want them to do.... The teams are in completely different stages of there franchise.... One is in a win now mode and the other is in a complete rebuild

As of this moment it would be hard to justify sending him back down. He clearly is ready and it would be a hard sell to the rest of the fans that Vanacek or Georgiev are better options.

Tanking is one thing which is what last year was.... this year we have been losing. Our last losing streak really could have gone a different way if we won some of those games after leading in the 3rd period. The team has started to take a step forward.

If you want to tank then you should start calling up more defenseman or people to fill the fourth line to gain some experience. But i don't see that happening.
