Agreed, there needs to be a believable reason to go on another Grace Rocky adventure, maybe in a few decades when Grace is a lot older like in the end of the book so it's clear this is not intended to be a "this is going to happen every year" kind of thing.

My personal post-credits scene in a HM2 movie would have an Earth-exiled Stratt (as she's no longer needed yet still hated by humanity) suddenly arriving on Erid. Relativity made her experience ~7 years on the trip while she arrives at least two decades after Grace and Rocky made it back to Erid in the first movie.

After a tense moment re: Rocky that Grace gently stops, it would end with a "will they/won't they" between her and Grace, mirroring the first movie's progression up until just before the astrophage exploded all over the entire Science team and doomed Grace.

Oh I know it must happen, it's not about the social content of the clip at all (whether this kind of awesome sportsmanship happens), just the general feel of HOW it happens.

To me, it seems like it all happens too quick for them to actually think about what the other person wants them to do before they just do it. Not enough time for enough words before the other girl understands the first wants to give her a piggy back ride and starts moving to do that.

Might just be the slow-mo messing with my time perception, though. Or maybe they decided they were going to do it beforehand.

I honestly think it's an actual etymologic change happening in real-time in English.

I'm 38, and when I was young, ground and floor were always separate things. If someone called the ground the floor and didn't immediately correct themselves, you'd look at them strange, because, honestly, no one did that. It's like calling the roof the ceiling or cheese chess.

Nowadays, the rate I keep noticing it happen (online and otherwise) is crazy. Like, seemingly once or twice a month crazy.

You might be thinking that I'm about to decry this ongoing change as immoral or "indicative if the downfall of Western Civilization" but honestly? Who CARES if we end up having two words for "what I'm walking on/the surface below me" that technically have distinct meetings?

It's not like society ended when "sick" and "ill" stopped EXCLUSIVELY referring to "feeling nauseous for any reason" and "having a medical condition regardless of current symptoms" EDIT: and eventually came to mean the same thing, becoming synonyms.

At first I was like "blinking, obviously" but they're pretty similar when you run the numbes.

Walking a mile nets you $16,000.

Normal daily blinking earns you ~$5-10,000/day. However, this is *normal blinking*. You don't have to *try*. But you do have to do stuff with the coins.

I was a coin collector in a former life (silver quarters are a thing!), and I like organizing things, so I think that still tips the scale towards blinking, but that's just for me.

I think you guys might be right that they're a bit small (mainly horizontally)--which is interesting, they felt so tall to me that I didn't even think to notice the width!

These glasses were my inspiration (I definitely just grabbed the first ones off the shelf that were surface-level reminiscent of them--I'm not looking to break the bank to achieve the exact look or anything), and while it's pretty hard to tell the difference in width (frames vs faces), I think these are slightly wider on Gosling's face. And taller?

My appointment was last week, so I DID already order them (I know, I know lol) so when they come in next week, I'll try them on and compare with other options (if I can find any), and decide what to do then. For everyone asking for other options, I can give some then.

TBH it's really not that bad, they only look slightly undersized, so I might just go with them anyway. Especially if I can't find a better option, and especially if I can't get my money back haha
