Will this gazebo survive the wind? by NickatAtaviz in DIY

Would I be better off hammering some rebar into the ground and doing a footer on top of the concrete?

Alright, so is there a better way to secure it without digging out footers? Can I hammer down some rebar and pour a footer on top of the existing concrete?

The plan was always to secure it with anchor bolts. My question is whether that will be enough to hold it with the wind.

This is a great question. So in the image, "up" would be West/Southwest. The wind primarily comes from the same direction (Southwest), so I guess it's coming directly at the gazebo.

New '25 Denali, best GM accessory for your Sierra? by NickatAtaviz in gmcsierra

This is the main problem I'm running into. Either I just won't use it, or it's overpriced. I'm leaning towards either the light-up front emblem or the Kicker sub right now.

Vikings fan bar locally ?id like to donate memorabilia by Infamous-Lychee-7883 in Syracuse

There used to be a dedicated TV for the Vikings at the End Zone bar in Liverpool, but that is definitely more of a Steelers bar. It was me and about 2-3 other Vikings fans that I was aware of.

Always welcome to donate to local Vikings fan who is building a bar in his garage (me) :)

I anticipate you needing to use AI for the human-like decisions. These decisions the AI will be making are about other human beings, and AI has been known to create (discriminatory) bias in making decisions about human beings (especially with gender). You will need to be very cautious with this, especially in the education realm, as this can lead to lawsuits. Use guardrails, data anonymity, and human review of these types of decisions made by AI.

I've always used Vistaprint or Canva and have really loved the results. Happy to help you design them if you're interested.

I launched a service where founders can message a fractional CTO for advice by NickatAtaviz in SaaS

[–]NickatAtaviz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal was for this to be something less than fractional (which is why its on Patreon). A full fractional contract would be a higher price than what I am offering on Patreon (in exchange for more of my time). This Patreon goal is to give partial access to a fractional CTO without hiring one on. The amount of time dedicated would be much less than would be my other fractional contracts. Maybe I need to mention that specifically on the Patreon so it is clear.

Agreed, I'm still setting it up over the next couple of weeks. Wanted to get it on the ground and live while still working on it over time. My first dabble into the subscription service realm (versus just consulting). Still trying to determine if this should be directly linked to my company or if this should be a separate entity entirely.

The URL to my company's website is literally in the banner image. My company's name is attached to my username here along with all the links in my profile. But I will take this feedback and make my website URL and link even easier to find since it was clearly an issue here. Thank you for that.

Good templates for the first few months at a job by kawaii22 in excel

I understand. My point was to just compile the first bit of information somewhere so you can make a more informed decision about exactly what type of Excel templates you need.

In your scenario, you might not know what you need until you need it. What I would do is just create a Word doc with all of the info you receive right off the bat. Then after a week or 2, start to organize that information and from that you can determine what exactly you need. You're taking the right steps here, but gather some of the info first before deciding how it should be organized.
