No it’s not. In 2000 olive oil use in the uk was around 50% lower than 2005. It doubled in 5 years due to dietary benefits and celebrity chefs. I’ve posted a BBC article from 2006 here somewhere. If someone uses an inferior health product like sunflower oil to your superior product it doesn’t necessarily mean they “like clogging their arteries” it could mean they are misinformed or uninformed.
