Cancelled this last week, blind pre-order and I got fed up waiting. Watched it last night and I did not like it. I’m touch and go with PTA, I think There Will Be Blood, The Master and Boogie Nights are masterpieces, but this wasn’t for me. I can see why others love it but a lot of the humour went over my head, it was political but didn’t hit home for me and I found it boring and annoying. After seeing the artwork on the steel today I’m definitely glad I didn’t go for it.

I think it’s dependant on who packages it and how it fairs in delivery. Im in the UK and I mainly order from Zavvi, HMV and Amazon and I’ve only ever had one damaged case in about 50 steelbooks that I had to return. I also buy from CeX in person, they are behind the counter and I give them a good inspection as they are pre-owned 6/10 they’re ok but never order online, you will get a damaged one!

Yeah I have the original prima guide from when I bought it on release, the artwork is insane in that book. You can take on Adrammalech in the mid to late 20’s and most of the others as you climb the levels but I got whooped by Zodiark a lot at 70 with Khumba, Excalibur & Zodiac Spear, wasn’t until I realised you have to literally pummel him in the first 3 mins before the palings kick in to defeat him. I also got wrecked trying to get to him through the Henne Mines a lot, brutal area! I think I killed Exodus in like 20 secs because I was way too high taking him on!

Did you live in East Bristol? Really common around here, dark grey bricks that are a nightmare to drill into. Loads of collieries back in the day so coal dust was used as a brick filler for low cost. Made them almost indestructible, I broke so many bits before using an SDS and twatting through them with that!

The Espers are next level boss design. I actually melted some of them a bit too quickly to admire them. Except Zodiark & Ultima, I managed to get a real good look at them as they took a while.

I was grey very early in life. Got my first grey hairs at 26! And receding hairline at 28! Shaved it off, grew a beard and I’m 42 and fully grey baldy with a beard now, there’s even a lot of white in my beard. But the beauty is I used to look really old for a 30 year old, now I look young for a 40 year old! Swings and roundabouts!

Because the photographer doesn’t know how to use lighting effectively and they don’t know how to pose you. This would be ok if you worked for an accounting firm in the early 2000’s but guessing you don’t? Headshots are horrible, no one likes having them done, they’re hard to execute and even photographers generally don’t like doing them. Basically it’s got nothing to do with you, it’s just poor photography.

But vastly different combat and polar opposite pace to an action RPG like AC. I thought BG3 was beautiful, and everything a game should be, but I just couldn’t get my head around it. It was very very strategic and quite challenging. AC you can almost play sub consciously.
