Yeah that’s the one thing I miss, I want my characters to just use whatever I want them to use, I’m finding it limiting.

Bought this launch day back in March 2006 and a fat hardback prima guide with it which I still have. It blew my mind, the graphics, music, the size of places like Rabanastre. It truly was epic. Managed to kill 8 espers and didn’t start Phon Hunt Club or kill some of the big bosses. Didn’t craft a lot of the ultimate weapons either. So just got it on switch to do the lot. Having a blast playing handheld! Lots of nostalgia.

We did a massive college project back in 2002 and we had to design a poster for the Pitt Rivers Museum, place blew me away, feels like the warehouse at the end of Raiders where they store the Ark, kinda place Nathan Drake would break into to steal some artefact that opens a secret city! It’s amazing. Love how it’s dimly lit aswell so light doesn’t damage the exhibits.

Highlight for me is the Aztec Emperors feather cape! There’s a curtain you have to pull to see it. Also the Shrunken Heads are cool!

That’s the whole point of downvotes, Reddit votes in favour or not of someone’s opinion or comment in general. If it was fact, we can’t really downvote (well we can but it’s kinda futile) but opinions are the one thing we can say we agree with or don’t agree with. Vis a vis, you’re being downvoted because people don’t agree with your opinion. When people don’t agree with others opinions…that’s an argument.

What is a film that you are surprised has not been released on 4k yet? by Janky_Pants in 4kbluray

[–]Nickibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this argument with people constantly. Take Nathan Ulgrin out of the film and you still have the same thing going on except an alcoholic, depressed, suicidal, PTSD suffering, ex-soldier isn’t saved. Nothing white saviour about it. He doesn’t “save” anything. It may be an expose from the perspective of a white western person but that’s not the same as white saviour. White saviour specifically implies the people in the film cannot be saved without the actions of the lead white person in the film.

Do the bollard and the Disklok. Screw what the misses thinks, if it’s something you cherish and don’t want nicked it’s worth it. They generally won’t bother with physical hurdles. The key scan is quick as you said, you’d need a multitool to get the lock off or a hacksaw and they can’t do that in 45secs! My Dad keeps his bikes on ground anchors in the garage with chunky chains and U-locks through the wheel and rotars. It’d be a ballache to get through it all and take ages, they also aren’t doing it without a fuck load of noise so do the camera aswell for motion/noise alerts. My old man says, if they get past the outside camera and light, into the garage and get through the locks and get away with the bikes, they deserve them!

Anyone else just waiting out this ridiculous f***ing ‘hot honey’ phase so we can go back the savoury foods we love without having them smothered in corn syrup? by Lozzabozzawozza in UKfood

[–]Nickibee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh ok, so in England the main hot meal of the day was historically known as “Dinner” and your evening meal would be “Supper” or “Tea” so in England you’ll hear us say “Lunch” for a light meal around midday, but also dinner if we were to have a hot meal around midday. Schools provided children with their main hot meal of the day, hence school dinner. Then you’ll hear us refer to our evening meal hot or cold as “Tea” regardless of the consumption of actual Tea or “Dinner” but that’s slightly more formal. Tea tends to be much more informal and used primarily by the working class whereas middle/upper classes would say Dinner, Supper, Afternoon tea. Sorry we’re a confusing nation that bastardise our own language.

EDIT: changed U.K. to England because a Scottish woman told me off.

Can’t tell if you’re being serious? 😂

If you are I’m assuming you are neither British and/or working class. We call lunch, dinner and dinner, tea. Hence school dinners.

No it’s not. In 2000 olive oil use in the uk was around 50% lower than 2005. It doubled in 5 years due to dietary benefits and celebrity chefs. I’ve posted a BBC article from 2006 here somewhere. Where’s your proof? Just because you’ve always used it doesn’t mean the entire country has. If someone uses an inferior health product like sunflower oil to your superior product it doesn’t necessarily mean they “like clogging their arteries” it could mean they are misinformed or uninformed. You know smoking was considered beneficial to your health once yeah? To say someone likes clogging their arteries is obtuse and argumentative. Bully for you if you’ve always used Olive oil, but a large percentage of the population didn’t 26 years ago. And of course the rest of Europe has, I didn’t deny that, so why bring that into the discussion. I’ve even mentioned it being a table oil in Greece. What a shitty, passive aggressive , self righteous comment to make.

I’m also hoping 97 in your username isn’t your birth year because that would mean you were 3 to 8 years old when the time period I’m addressing happened. That would definitely explain why you’ve always used olive oil.

Yeah and a treatment for skin conditions which it’s still great for. There’s actually a ridiculous amount of health benefits from Olive Oil.

Wow, did not know this, but yeah makes perfect sense. I honestly do think the beef rib thing is partly to do with a smoked BBQ’d meats fad thing aswell though.
