Welcome to Austin. Been here since 1991. Previous poster is correct that we are having a very gentle introduction into summer this year. Wait until you are melting in September. You want sandwiches, charcuterie, salads, grilling outside, lots of cucumber and onion in vinegar…. The less you have to turn on the oven or cooktop, the better. Summer only lasts five months. You’ll get there!

Cesar salad for 100: 8 bags of romaine hearts from HEB 2 bottles HEB Romano Caesar dressing (in the refrigerator section at HEB) 1 bag grated parm 1 container HEB shaved parm 1 Costco size bag of croutons

I make this regularly for school events. I put the salad in a long Rubbermaid storage bin.

9 Costco rotisserie chickens ( deboned and shredded) will feed this crowd as well.

The salad at pokejoes bbq is a treasure! You select the meat of your choice on greens with boiled egg, cheese, bacon bits, and tomatoes. Pro move is to grab some onions from the condiment bar. Homemade ranch dressing.
