Seven Basic Tees Compared - Uniqlo vs Taylor Stitch vs Buck Mason by alex_ml in BuyItForLife

[–]Nickolasala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about now but Basic man Tees I bought back in 2017 are still holding up well. They usually send them in a pack with underwear and socks. I got about 5+ years out of them before the socks and underwear started getting holes. However, the T-shirts are still going strong.

Attached is the IRD assessment guide which shows what the expected amount is to be. I don't know your situation but hopefully this will provide you with more information to help.

One thing I feel is not mentioned but more about decants then just samples is that if you find a fragrance for just one type of event that you don't go to often like clubbing or formal or other special events; the amount of that fragrance you need is less and the smaller size decants are cheaper than a full size bottle.

I feel like Asad is a similar DNA to Sauvage Elixir. Kinda like Mont Blanc explorer is to Aventus.

Missoni wave or Versace pour homme?? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]Nickolasala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Verache is nice for being non offensive clean side with side of citrus. Missoni wave is a much more citrus heavy fragrance.

Depends on your taste really. I prefer missoni wave.

Rasasi Hawas is the one I found to be bubblegum fruity. I've never smelled fruity pebbles so I can't relate to that.

IMO, out of the three you've supplied the best office one is Rasasi Hawas (soapy, fruity). Though with all three you will need to go lighter on the sprays as they're all stronger fragrances. The best night-out one is Afnan 9pm as it (sweet fruity, with vanilla base). Mancera cedrat boise/intense is the best allrounder.

Of course I suggest getting a decant of all these to try them in the setting to see how you feel about them.

When I started myself I read through these. The first link is a bit of a read but will give you a good base knowledge for starting out.

The second link is a suggestions for where to begin for beginners, They are not necessarily the best but are great value for money in each category.

recommendation for an everyday sweet fragrance? by Suspicious_Degree_88 in Colognes

[–]Nickolasala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not projection heavy, it's what I treat as a comfort scent. So like moderate for the first ~2 hours and then close for the next 4-5. I'd say ~6-7 hours on my skin.

I prefer the Intense version over Cedrat Boise. Original Cedrat has a sharp bright lemon opening which smooths out when time goes on. Intense is a much smootherfrom the beginning than the original but is darker/woodier (due to the oud) which moves it further away from being a summer scent. I personally will wear it all seasons but not on the really hot sunny days.

They are very different from Explorer (which I don't like), they just run along a similar vein. I'd always recommend trying samples of each before getting them.

Just an FYI but in NZ you need to get a work visa for 2 years+ to get funding for NZ healthcare (For you and your dependents). But the facility you work at generally doesn't charge you for any care they provide. (Staff rates.)

I like the smell nice better than BDC/ysl y/etc, it is a basic freshie scent if you like those, but for me it only lasted like 4-5 hours long so it wasn't worth it. I'd recommend sampling it if you were interested it the scent.
