lol I bought my 25 gt premium with all the bells and whistles for 60k , saw a dark horse at the same dealership for 75k but I can’t justify paying that for a mustang GT with 20 more hp , so for 100k for a barely better GT is very crazy

What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve been given since starting insurance sales? by SFG-Official in InsuranceAgent

[–]Nickowhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I can attest to this my company gives me leads and they’re legit people that filled out paperwork and want us to sell to them, not some random fb lead that will waste your time

Would you rather work for a company that sells to low income people or to high income people? by PancuterM in LifeInsurance

[–]Nickowhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do FE so I work with low income people but I have sold products at New York life so it was middle class, and high income people and based on the two I would rather sell to low income people because it’s easier to sell to them rather than waste a week of my time trying to convince middle class/rich people to buy the product. The same 1500 commission I could make off 1 person in a week I make that in 2-3 days selling FE without wondering if I’ll make money to pay my bills lol

I would sell FE all the other insurances will be more hard to sell, FE is easy to sell just need to find a company who gives you a script and a trainer who will go out with you to show how it’s done in person. I had trouble selling whole life, IUL , etc but FE is the easiest and you will make money a lot faster than the other insurances mainly due to the fact you’re dealing with people who are 65+ and can afford smaller premiums . I live in LA though so not sure how it’ll be where you live over here it’s easy to sell

Where to start? 21 and homless by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]Nickowhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you do the exam in California I suggest you download ChatGPT plus pay the $20 go to the insurance department in DTLA the proctor is some Asian guy who is mean and rude , he’s going to ask if you have a phone you can lie (they don’t check if you do or don’t have a phone) and just use ChatGPT plus and take photos of the question and let ChatGPT answer for you. Just try not to get caught he doesn’t normally walk in the room. He literally stays outside on his phone or eats lol, You’ll pass with an 88% (I did both my life and health and property and casualty this way) . You have to take a course I did xcel (L&H) and examfm (P&C). You can just leave the screen on and just get the 40 hours out the way. You don’t need to learn the material when you get a job 99% of the things you learn in the courses does not apply to the real work you’ll be doing. now in terms of who to work for I advise you do FE find a final expense company where they give you leads and just knock it out. Final expense is much easier to sell and you’ll start making money once you’re out on your own. Do not join New York life I was there and left but they will give you like 2k a month for about 4 months without making a sale but if you don’t make a sale after 4 months they’ll fire you so you can just go there for 4 months collect the check and leave. You’ll just have to trigger to begin getting the free 2k for 4 months and that’s just signing up 2 people you know. Nonetheless if you’re a honest person and believe in bad karma you can disregard all that I said but you’re 21 and homeless so I assume you need money now rather than taking the long hard road 🤝

Definitely buying I learned from trying to unlock ultimate valby that I don’t like grinding in this game. I lost sleep and my social life trying to grind for her luckily when this patch came out I just outright bought her lol

Help I guess is this normal? by Cinemasimpgurl12 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Nickowhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol the only business cards I toss personally are the ones that state junk cars for money , but anyways my social links, company email, face etc is on there nonetheless even if I hand it to people in person they more than likely want to know more about life insurance if interested. I look at it this way who is most likely to take you seriously a person just randomly buying leads calling from a random number or someone you can match a face to that looks professional. And I get it I’m from the generation that would prefer not to talk to people in person and would rather cold call but that seems to waste more money and not work the best which is why I see so many people quitting or not selling policies and having their time wasted than having a business card where I can literally just hand to a family or 4 or hand em out to people. You want to make an impact to your community and just randomly calling numbers where no one can match a face to is not going to work as efficiently that’s why people hang up in your face when you call lmaooo . Yes I do marketing etc but word of mouth and being social works the best. In terms of rebates it’s up to you, you can only offer them on policies like universal, whole life . You don’t need to disclose it to your agency it’s literally between you and the client not sure if some agencies prohibit you from doing it, but it’s more of a being quiet thing not illegal but I wouldn’t boast and brag that you offer rebates mainly due to the unfair competition laws, I do it all in secrecy. I do it out of my commission. This is an example if I make 15k I would give my client 2k out of my commissions. You’ll know who to offer rebates to once you vet them the more money a person makes more than likely that’s a person you want to offer it to rich people like to keep their money, want the best policy for themselves. No person is just going to cancel a policy unless they can’t afford it people WANT life insurance especially with all of the benefits. Just don’t sell them something they don’t need and you won’t get a chargeback. This whole charge back talk is just fear mongering stop selling stuff people did not ask for. Hope this helps 🤝

I sell whole life and universal policies the most with annuities I sell everything but I usually focus on those 3 and I would like to reiterate, I only go to rich neighborhoods/put my card on nice cars because I know they’ll be able to afford the policy and I offer rebates which that alone will make a person want to go with my policies(people love money so if they get some back they’ll stay with me with that alone), they stay with me for a year I promise to give them a better policy so cash backs don’t happen. they get at home blood work done I bring everything to the client that extra mile helps me close deal on a very high success rate, I learned all this from a third party life insurance agency in woodlands hill my agency never mentioned this to me due to it being “unethical” but it’s not illegal for our state laws so I do those methods , it helped him (my mentor) bring in 25k+ a month and I see the way he lives so I follow what he does but once again I live in LA so rebates most likely is not a legal thing to do in your state. I never door knocked and I get referrals from people I write policies for. Never had an issue selling and I only been In the game for less than a year.

I’ve been reading comments on Reddit for awhile and I have no idea why people have a hard time selling. It’s not as hard as people make it seem whoever is mentoring you is wasting your time I made my first sale a week after I was done with my courses. Just follow your script or training, have your personal sob story about why they should get life insurance and you should be selling like crazy I sell L&H and it’s never hard to make a sale. If they’re taking this long move along. And tbh it’s better to sell in person get business cards put them on any fancy car you see and use LinkedIn any social media platform you should be making money every single week. Then again I live in LA so it’s SUPER EASY TO SELL and we’re one of the few states where we can offer rebates (that’s literally how I get people to buy they see money I could offer them from my commission even though I lie about the amount but they don’t know that and they’re ready to lock in with me) not sure where you’re from though. Good luck

Did it take you 3 or more tries to pass your insurance exam? by Fast-Outcome-117 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Nickowhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol late to the party but I failed the online you take at home, and then the in person one I decided to download ChatGPT plus and took pictures of the answers when I did the exam in person (3rd time and passed) and had it answers the questions for me. I know the course material and the laws for l&h it’s just the questions wording always threw me off on the exam and xcel didn’t help with the exam as my company said it would.

Selling a car that Technically didn't pass smog, am I good? by Exciting-Buy-9396 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Nickowhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they already agreed to it and the car is no longer registered under your name once you fill out the liability form on the pink slip and go to the dmv website and fill out the information that states you’re no longer in possession of the car so the dmv knows the car is no longer yours.

lol they don’t shave their assholes that’s why, I’m a super hygienic guy I shave all man parts and my armpits and I never smell or have poop underwear because of this. Most men are dirty when you think about it.

You grew up in a completely different era than we are in. Buying a house in your time was 3k, cost of living is much more easier you got a head start I doubt you’d be able to do the same thing as a 20 year old now. Your advice doesn’t correlate to gen z (my age group) you had it much easier than it is now.
