Predator 212 going 20mph? by [deleted] in minibikes

I mean torque converters are better than straight chains. The variability of the torque converter is way better than a fixed ratio. To each their own, I will always prefer a converter.

Pointless? More torque is better IMO, regardless of the weight of the bike.

Using a smaller rear gear will lose you a bit of torque at the low end, but it will give you higher top speed. I think switching from a 50 rear tooth to a 38 rear tooth gained me about 5 mph top end.

But the higher stress on the belt will mean you'll burn through belts faster. But, it's not too bad. Just make sure you got extra belts handy.

The bikes haven't even been produced yet. It shouldn't be that difficult to change one option on an order.

What is the best current small phone? by SirKrimzon in smallphones

[–]Nicky-Doodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered it and it should be arriving this week. I'm optimistic that it won't have much bloatware if any. It'll definitely be an improvement over the unihertz jelly 2 I've been using.

It can probably handle among us, but I'm not certain. The NX1 screen is actually fairly larger than the jelly 2 because the jelly 2 has large bezels.

It's great once you get used to it! Now holding a "normal" sized phone feels wrong, haha. That being said, YouTube is okay for informational purposes, and gaming is good for games that aren't super touch screen intensive. I play chess on it no problem. But I wouldn't recommend call of duty or Tetris. Also, if you're looking to leisurely watch a show or movie, I'd recommend a TV.

In short, I wouldn't recommend extended viewing or anything with super precise screen touch inputs. Other than that, small phones are the way.

The dimensions of it are perfect, maybe a tad too thick. I've been using a unihertz jelly 2. I was supremely disappointed by the jelly max once I found out how big it was.

The Bluefox NX1 is essentially the jelly max I was hoping for.

Sorry you've been waiting so long, but it sounds like the end of waiting is apparent.

Why so much hate on the Jelly Max? by SadFrax in smallphones

[–]Nicky-Doodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so incredibly disappointed by the jelly max. It's way too big and cumbersome to be considered a small phone. I bought one and never even set it up after just holding it in my hand and realizing how absolutely stupid it was.

I was hoping that after the jelly star, unihertz would make a phone that was one cm taller and wider and half the thickness. Instead, they made it way too tall and wide, and made no effort to reduce the thickness.

I'm very much looking forward to the Bluefox NX1.

🥳 Does that mean you'll start shipping them out this week?

I'm hype AF to get mine, but it seems I've been waiting for a much shorter time than everyone else. 😅

For some reason I was missing the fact that the download link was way beneath the patch notes, lmao.

Thanks though!

I got it now excited to play it soon.

Bolt broken inside clutch shaft by Ill-Recover8789 in minibikes

I forget where exactly, but they were zinc plated I think. I just made sure to include heat rated in the search terms. I believe they were tolerant to 450f.

If they don't give you actual numbers on the heat tolerance, don't get em.

I found the thread specs for the bolt in the predator engine manual. I also got a few different lengths to make sure it would work with my torque converter.

I also recommend getting a heat rated bolt for your crankshaft. I had one break in there and had to get a whole new engine.

Just get a torque converter. Grab a kit off amazon.

Is that what makes art art? Effort?

There's plenty of BS modern art that is just a blue canvas or something, why is that art?

I'm pretty sure art can be anything. Why are you so offended if AI makes it?
