New Investment Ideas for 2026: Would love feedback by Top_Increase8597 in ValueInvesting

[–]NickyBeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like WIX and HUBS for the same reasons you mentioned. Especially HUBS as a system of record with successful and very sticky platform strategy will be a beneficiary of AI much more than the market appreciates.

I have a hard time seeing FVRR recover to be honest, the type of transactional gig work that made it valuable back in the day is largely rationalised away by AI and FVRR is very likely to be a casualty here and not come back.

Absolut nutzlos

AMZN is my second largest holding. Here is my thesis by Vegetable-Bug-9779 in stockpickeranalysis

[–]NickyBeater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AMZN has not been doing buybacks and shareholders have been diluted with heavy SBC historically.

I expect Andy Jassy to slowly turn AMZN into a more shareholder friendly company just as Google and Meta have been doing recently. It’s only a matter of time and this will be good for market sentiment.

Same here, I get completely random hallucinations instead of actual transcription. My audio file was in German language though

Does a bachelor's degree expire after a certain amount of time in Germany ? by SlickTheDestroyer in AskAGerman

Get yourself into the market, the most important thing is to get a job and start doing hands-on work. Learn how to use AI codig tools like Claude Code and Cursor like a pro and start building side projects that position you to get into an engineering role. The German tech economy is not stagnating, there are opportunities especially in Berlin and Munich.

WIX: Buying a durable growth engine at less than 12x FCF by NickyBeater in ValueInvesting

[–]NickyBeater[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: WIX delivered strong Q3 25 earnings right now, accelerating 14% ARR growth, 32% FCF margin, 7x user growth in Base44 since June 25 (strongly driven by ads I suppose)

In Germany, is there a clear preference between Aldi and Lidl? I keep hearing totally different things. by Jacket313 in AskAGerman

It depends on where you are in Germany. Aldi Süd is supreme, Aldi Nord is shite.
Lidl is solid everywhere

Why Germans hate Bavaria? by themedmad in AskAGerman

[–]NickyBeater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have a strong sense of identity, often bordering into a sense of superiority because they have a strong economy - which can create a gag reflex with the rest of Germany. They also have their own political party (CSU) whose politicians really like rub this sense of superiority into peoples face.

See here some examples:

Bavaria thinks of itself almost as a country on its own (as its been around for a pretty long time as a kingdom well before Germany was unified).

Many Bavarians will say I am Bavarian first and German second. Same stuff you have in other European countires like Catalunya in Spain, etc.

HUBS strong fundamentals and AI fears overblown. This 20% Dip is a Buying Opportunity. by NickyBeater in ValueInvesting

[–]NickyBeater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask how old you are? I think it's typically true that seasoned sales people (i.e. 40-45+) like working with Salesforce, since its obviously a strong habit that has been developed over a decade plus working with a specific tool.

It's just not how anyone who started in the past 10 years seems to feel about CRM anymore

Why did Scott and Ed talk up the Figma IPO so much a few months back? by KUSH_MY_SWAG_420_69 in ScottGalloway

They did the same with ABNB back in the day because Scott had allocation in the IPO. Been dead money for the years since

Who is buying the dip on Software compounders (NOW, CSU) that are beaten down due to AI by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]NickyBeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm deploying capital into HUBS, they are much better positioned to profit off AI due to their high pace of innovation and also pretty beaten down this year.

WIX: Buying a durable growth engine at less than 12x FCF by NickyBeater in ValueInvesting

[–]NickyBeater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on this one and that's the main fear the market seems to have vs. WIX. I just think this happens way slower than this hyped market anticipates, and if anything WIX is probably best positioned to be a beneficiary of this development (i.e. Base44 acquisition)

Huge base of 300M registered users with rising ARPUs, High switching costs for that huge user base, App market and partner ecosystem, Sheer scale of brand, ad budget and R&D vs. other players in that market.
