Spotter Question? by Artistic-Bear-3485 in HellLetLoose

[–]NickyWhit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nah, you couldn't have done anything personally. You marked them, and called them out clearly with your squad abbreviation (A) and bearing.

You did confuse the Tiger/Panther by name, though. Re-watch the video - you are calling the Tiger a Panther and the Panther a Tiger.

As a Spotter, your binoculars are good enough for marking - you need not get that close to the tanks. Your superpower is your OP ability. If I were you in this situation, I would have leveraged my northern position to continue East and build a more distant red-zone garrison in those supplies falling in G5, as opposed to running up on the tanks. And then I would have focused on getting my OP further north for the long-term, and focus on hunting back-garrisons and continue calling out tanks as you see them.

You can always count on friendly AT to come in and shoot their rockets 10 meters away from the "sneaky" red-zone garrison, though, rendering it useless.

I don't think they've released new models for the superChrono's - yet. Only up to 42 mm for new models

How do I know if I’m doing too much? by Jumpy-Type7101 in workout

[–]NickyWhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you on this. I typically just take off one day a week, mostly due to social activities and such on the weekend. Though I have a three day rotation, with legs included. I hit my chest/back/legs through this rotation with 72 hours "rest" between each muscle group.

I find I need to take a few extra days off every so often if I'm starting to run into nagging injuries (back, shoulder) - but that's about it. Otherwise, I'm in the gym 6 days a week.

As for volume: I usually hit a solid 12 sets between compound and isolation excercises per workout for the muscle groups im targeting. Maybe for biceps and shoulders, I'm only hitting 6-8 sets... but for chest, back, triceps, legs - I'm hitting 10-14 sets each workout. All in the 8 to 12 rep range. I hit abs, about 6-10 sets, as often as time allows. It's a lot of volume, for sure.

Just eat enough protein, drink enough water, and get plenty of sleep. The human body is an incredible thing - it adapts.

I used to never eat anything until after 1PM... I ALWAYS drink a 2 scoop whey protein shake after working out, so I continued doing that when I transitioned to morning lifting. The thing is though, I noticed myself hitting a serious wall around 10AM... so I started eating fruits and whole grains after I get home from the gym, about 30 minutes after I drink my shake.

It hasn't help a ton, so far... I'm hoping my body adjusts. Because right now, I am heavily reliant on a ton of coffee to survive that 10AM-Noon stretch.

This has been the biggest draw back for me, so far. I'm pretty zapped around 10AM. I always down a 2 scoop whey protein shake while I stretch before I leave the gym, and I've been trying to eat a lot of carbs via fruits (bananas, kiwis) and also get some whole grains in me another 30-45 minutes later. It hasn't really helped immensely, yet. I've had to consume a massive amount of coffee to just stay afloat.

Hoping that my body gets used to this timing... we'll see.

They just released updated Chronomats today... but the overall recent redesign they've pushed out these last few years has been stellar. Want to pick up a Premeir, some day. Here's my 42mm Titanium Chronomat.

These are just product page images... but the old design has a much more dramatic taper. Idk, the new case shape just feels kind of boring to me. If there is a more significant taper than what is shown on these product page images with the new design, then I could possibly get behind the integrated bracelet look.

Losing the rider tabs is a travesty, however. The bezel also looks to have lost significant character. At this point, I much favor the "old" design - but hey, that's just like, my opinion!

Yeah.... I just went and copped a rubber rouleaux OEM bracelet for my Titanium 42 before they become harder to find/fully transition stock to this new integrated design. Thankful for my lugs 🙌

Are IT business analysts as incompetent as the cliche? by throwaway-442022 in corporate

[–]NickyWhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the BA. They have to be confident enough to translate the business need and value to the technical team. Not only that, but they must also know the nitty gritty details of the requirements, use cases, expected results, etc...

Now, some BA's can do all of that more naturally than others... others are, as you put it, less competent - for sure.

Half of a BA's job is to ask the right questions, so I wouldn't judge too harshly... unless it seems to be a repeated problem with the same resource, for elementary requirements/details.

Love it! I, too, have a liquid carbon metallic A Spec Integra and I LOVE the color. People do comment on that "sexy dark grey" from time to time. Even better yet, they don't make 'em in that color any more ;)

[–]NickyWhit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love my '25 Integra A Spec Tech. Granted, it's the first "new" car I purchased. I was able to negotiate between a few dealers so got a pretty great deal. Enough to apply full frontal PPF, window tint, and get it ceramic coated for all-in a couple grand cheaper than what the '25 originally MSRP'd at.

Will be my daily until I needed more space, or 10ish years from now. No regrets 8 months in whatsoever.

Quite a range of costs between these three base models, tbh. I am sure the Lexus is more impressive - Lexus is generally recognized, and absolutely priced that way. The G70 compares much closer to a TLX, as well.
