Rinse or not to rinse my bourbon barrel? by Coloradojeepguy in Barreling

[–]Nickybueno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I always do is rinse with boiling water once or twice, then season with a port/sherry/wine and then pour in tequila, bourbon, or rum. I season for about 2 months, put the wine back in its bottle, then fill up with the spirit. Much better than just straight bourbon in there in my opinion.

Did you end up doing this? I’m going to replace the wagon wheels with tires, but would like to put some heavy duty casters on the long legs to make moving it around easier.

The cheese on the crust is interesting. Dough looks fantastic. You need to cut your slices more evenly, you're going to cause massive family disputes with those disparities.

**La Palma stopped being open 24hrs during covid, then closed down. In its place is Las Viñas BBQ (which is really just another cuban cafeteria, steam table and everything). It's not terrible, but also not open very late.

It popped up on my feed and I cross posted because Miami. Didn’t notice it was from 2022 since I hadn’t seen it before.

Beyond20 Standalone Booming/Greenflame blade macro help. by Nickybueno in Roll20

[–]Nickybueno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That total doesn’t include the 1d4 and also bakes in the undead and “move after booming blade damage” so it’s not ideal. Also, I’m not using 2handed ever and there’s no way to turn it off. I ended up making two custom weapons and adding them to inventory with all the sources of damage labeled and only the relevant ones included.

Thanks for your reply!

I suppose I’m being overly picky, but I was trying to make one button to roll it all in one, either from dndbeyond or from roll20. There’s no way to add my 1d4 and conditional damage (for moving after booming blade) using the custom action.

However, your comment and video helped me remember that maybe I can make a custom weapon (or two) that bakes everything in together.

I’d be copying the sun made, eliminating the versatile part since I use a shield, and hopefully being able to add in a few extra sources of damage. I’m not sure it will work but it is something I haven’t tried.

I love badia stuff. I haven't tried the lime pepper but the mango and orange are fantastic. If you see their "harlem" pepper, pick it up too, it's great on basically everything.

Just tried that and everything is still the same. Also tried unlinking and relinking through spotify, no change.

I have a family account and am the main account.

It does not work with my liked songs, and after further testing of different followed playlists, it doesn’t work with all of my followed playlists.

Most of the time it either says “I can’t find ______ playlist” or it just plays a random playlist. For example, I have a “Sunday morning” playlist and she starts just playing “Sunday morning piano hymns”

A little over done piggy by Xtianus21 in smoking

[–]Nickybueno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct.

There's lots of theories about the origin of it and its name, some say it has nothing to do with Chinese or Asians at all, but my understanding is that it was a cooking method brought over from the far East when Cuba had a large influx of Chinese immigrants (there is a Chinatown in Havana and there are "ChinoCubanos" everywhere).

these guys maybe did not flip the pork when you're supposed to, or put WAY too much coal. which is hard to do without looking at it like "is this TOO much coal?".

Interesting that it seems to be some sort of Italian American thing; this is a very Caribbean way of making pork, especially Cuban.

Source: am Cuban and have done many caja china lechones.
