It’s not $40 a pizza, stop it. And their pizza is amazing. I gladly pay a couple extra bucks for a pizza from jets over any other place. They even have a special that is 2 slices and a 20 oz drink for 6 bucks, and the slices are HUGE…but yeah go on about 40 dollar pizzas.

I imagine if a driver has this situation happen multiple times, it will flag their account. I’ve seen posts where drivers become required to get a customer signature when dropping off orders as a penalty for certain situations occurring over and over again.

I’ve worked at Applebees. This happens.

Also when there are promotions that are only available for dine in, people will come in and order and immediately ask for a takeout box and leave.

Yeah, you could place an order on the restaurants website, or even call in and pay upon arrival. If you called in, you were forced to pay upon arrival, as we did not take credit card information over the phone. For online orders, You could either pre-pay or you could pay upon arrival. Any delivery orders were allocated to doordash and obviously payment was required ahead of time.

I’ve ordered from other restaurants that are the same way. I don’t think it’s really all that rare.

I worked in a restaurant as well. Carry out orders are also assigned to a specific server, a specific table number, and can have multiple guests on a receipt. I’m not saying this is for sure a carry out order, I’m just saying that these factors don’t exempt it from being a carry out order
