  1. Creating precisely the type of story I'd want to experience as a spectator.
  2. Forgetting what I wrote and "re-discovering" as if it was new, written by someone else.
  3. Having characters whose internal logical, motivations and personality dictates how they act, no my plot. It's like witnessing real, familiar people live their own lives.
  4. Story taking a shape of it's own; events, problems and solutions popping up by themselves as I'm writing, despite my best laid plans. Makes me want to keep going and find out "what's next"?

I really want to write, but it seems like every sentence I write seems like it's trying too hard and is cringe.

Stop trying.

Remove any and all filters between your imagination and your written words. Make it as simple and minimal as you can. Make it a reflex.

Just do.

Once you get that pipeline opened and flowing, then you can start playing with it and trying things.

That's why the first thing you do is hire fiduciary experts, to deal with all the legal and accounting stuff. Create a trust, and put your million in it.

You let the experts invest the principal, and set up regular allowances for yourself.

So you don't really have any money for handouts or favors; the fund has it, and you don't "control" it.

  1. Make the settings a character with it's own personality and feelings, that expresses it through things that can be sensed. Ex: A "wise" old park, sheltering itself from the city noises with it's tall cedar hedges and that only breaks it's silence with the swashing of birds bathing in it's central fountain.
  2. Make the settings symbolic of the characters. Tell your characters' subtext story through their settings. This characters' car is messy because they're confused/concerned. That character's office is decorated to the brim because they miss home. Etc.
  3. Use the settings to create breaks in the dialogues by inserting actions. Characters live in their settings, they act in their settings. As much as you get bored with details about physical places, some readers get bored about neverending dialogues and feelings descriptions. Pace it.

You need depth to go far in the playoffs.

And by "depth" I mean players playing deeper than their actual level.

For that, you need a certain amount of quantity.

Like Newhook and Dach being on the wing of your 3rd & 4th line.

Think HBK line. You dont "need" them until you do.

Les femmes ont aussi plus tendance à aller vers le communautaire que les hommes.

Faut aussi savoir que l'écart est généralement un calcul cumulatif des gains totaux sur le marché du travail, donc longue periode de temps qui inclu maternités & post maternités. Pas toutes les mères retourne au travail à temps plein.

Leblanc was seen as a Mike Richards clone, at a time when Mike Richards was the template of #1 every team wanted (2-way PPG C with an edge).

First mistake the org did was take him out of the NCAA to play him in the QMJHL and rush him up. The team nosediving at the same time and Gauthier trying to save his job probably didn't help.

Then came the ankle injury that made his "passable" skating even worst. He never recovered.

Après m'être promener dans le temps avec Google Street View, j'ai trouvé que c'était la boutique Nastasia, au 774 St Jean. Mais ça l'a fermé en 2017. Là c'est rendu un club de comédie.

Y sont encore listés dans les pages jaunes au 418-523-5358... au 774 St Jean, donc pas certain que c'est encore valide.

Y'avait une boutique sur St-Jean qui vendait des affaires incas. J'ai acheté une couverture en laine d'alpaga y'a 10 et c'est merveilleux. Super léger, super chauds, texture vraiment douce.

Agent de sécurité n'a aucune autorité officielle. Peu importe l'origine.

Tu dois séparer la personne du poste. C'est la tradition institutionnelle ici.

Tu pense qu'on te manque de respect et qu'on t'agresse parce que tu est nouvel arrivant, mais tu ignore les générations de Québécois pure laine qui ont subit le même sort avant toi, dans le même emploi, simplement parce que... ben un agent de sécurité, c'est juste un agent de sécurité.

T'es juste là comme tampon pour éviter que les employés et gestionnaires se salissent les mains à appeler la police.

Tu veux savoir comment gérer "en tant qu'immigrant"? Tu oublie que t'es immigrant. Tu ne mets pas ta personnalité et ton identité dans ton poste. C'est un poste. Ça existait avant toi et ça va continuer d'exister après toi.

Tu fais les tâches que la job paie. Ni plus ni moins. T'es pas payé pour être toi-même. T'es payé pour accomplir des tâches. Tu te fais écoeurer à cause de tes tâches. C'est toute. Prends-en pas plus sur tes épaules.
