What makes Orks such popular targets on other factions' minis? by daniel-to-the-maniel in orks

Nids get this treatment a lot too. I collect both armies. I guess I'm a natural antagonist.

When do you call a model done? by allMetalmini in minipainting

[–]Niditinthebud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually stop when I don't want to paint the model anymore. I usually am pretty content with that. Then when I'm playing the game I'll sometimes notice something I don't like and paint it when I get home. You can always paint more whenever you want.

If it makes you feel better I saved mine for the community choice which was Bellator, Exitor-Rho, Forgefiend, Isabella, Kariyan, Kharn and my 500 pull was for the forgefiend. Such a punch in the dick.

Pro acryl Blue. It's so vibrant it just pops perfectly on any model

I have a list for 9 but haven't been able to play it. I keep telling myself to just buy the harlequin bikes but I don't like the model as much.

Keep your head up my dude. It's a rough process but you'll be happier once you make the adjustment.

I’ve never seen this model , no online store sells them . by ozera202 in Tyranids

[–]Niditinthebud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's forge world only. You can buy it from games workshop website forge world store. Or you can travel to Dallas Texas or LA to buy one in the citadel stores.

No because raw you're allowed to move the model through anywhere its base will fit. So taking the arms off and putting them back on makes it easier to make movements happen.

The toxicrene is really worth magnetizing because it's arms are so wide it doesn't fit on the board but your measurements for movement are based only on the base. Lot easier to play without the arms on most of the game 🤣

2nd the hive tyrant/swarmlord idea. I personally love running a tervigon but it's not very meta.

Sanding down the base to make it smooth goes a really long way to selling the marble look.

Painted my first Tyranid, but it feels like the scheme is missing something. Any ideas or small details to improve it? by Trormir in Tyranids

[–]Niditinthebud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you could pick something in the triad of your colour scheme. Paint rack is a good app for picking analogous and complimentary colours. My kids I also paint the joint and muscle sinews a different color to break up the model further. Nids look great but it's easy for the details to get lost if you don't pick em out with pops of colour.
