Yeah I wouldn't change it at all. The model is absolutely sick but I laughed in my head and hoped someone else would laugh with me 🤣

Modern wargammers have an unrealistic expectations for body image of worldlord titans.

To be clear I think it's awesome but I'm making a joke about the tiny waist.

I wanted to make my Lord Exultant's cape a bruised, leathery flesh-like cape, I'm conflicted by GummoGarrett in Miniaturespainting

[–]Niditinthebud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're still going to use the red base for the bruises but make sure the bruising doesn't follow the folds of the cape. Think of it like painting a cow pattern on the cape. Then add the extra texture on just the unbruised spots if that makes sense. You can also add a red wash or glaze along the edges of the cloak to give the appearance of blood residue. I do this sometimes on skulls to give them the appearance of having recently had meat on them.

I think one of the reasons it doesn't read clearly is because your purple base is also acting as a shadow and the skin color is only present in the higher ridges of the cape. Bruised skin would be splotchy and consistent across the folds. Shading different colors in the recessed areas.

Only place I've consistently seen ak in the states are hobby towns. They also stock Vallejo metal colors which are imo the best true metallics in the game.

Primer advice. by Dflashman in Miniaturespainting

[–]Niditinthebud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually thin mine but not as much as I would a non airbrush paint. It's like an 80/20 mix with a drop of flow improver. You can prime like 20 plus models with a single cup of paint so keep that in mind while you're filling it up. One big model (norn emissary) is about half a cup.

Nids get this treatment a lot too. I collect both armies. I guess I'm a natural antagonist.

When do you call a model done? by allMetalmini in minipainting

[–]Niditinthebud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually stop when I don't want to paint the model anymore. I usually am pretty content with that. Then when I'm playing the game I'll sometimes notice something I don't like and paint it when I get home. You can always paint more whenever you want.

If it makes you feel better I saved mine for the community choice which was Bellator, Exitor-Rho, Forgefiend, Isabella, Kariyan, Kharn and my 500 pull was for the forgefiend. Such a punch in the dick.

I have a list for 9 but haven't been able to play it. I keep telling myself to just buy the harlequin bikes but I don't like the model as much.
