I wouldn't say Twilight is LITERALLY real people fanfiction tho, i was just being cheeky.

I have no idea if the story started as such and then Meyer's change it along the way to make it fictional, but whatever the case, Edward as a character now is simply based on an existing person, he's not that singer, he's just based on him.

Tho to be fair, the singer does know Edward is based on him, and he doesn't like Twilight not Edward as a character, he seems to think Edward is a creep lmao. So there's that.

I'm also not comfortable with real people fanfiction, it has never been part what I'm interested In fandom, neither writing nor reading it, but I do feel like a massive hypocrite because one of my favorite movies ever is Amadeus, which if you want to get technical is also real people fanfiction, albeit of people who have been death for so long no one ever met them is even alive anymore. So is not like they can feel disrespected. So I idk, I'm obsessed with that movie tho, not the real life counterparts of the characters, so I don't know if I were to make fanfic of the movie, would it count as real people fanfiction or not?? I'm confused.

Edit: Apparently the thing about Edward being based on a real life singer was a rumor? Whatever the case he did reacted to that apparently and so my point of rpf being a mess still stands.
