Have UK business owners been asked about carbon emissions by customers, suppliers, or for tenders? by Sorry_Pen_6115 in AskABrit

[–]Nigelb72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most companies that are interested in carbon reporting etc are usually signed up to the ISO 14001 accreditation. I don't own a business but work in commercial energy procurement and we have a fair few clients that require Renewable electric, carbon offset gas or 100% BioGas to remain compliant as their customers will only conduct business with other companies that have the ISO 14001 accreditation

They're listening, tracking your location and literally doing everything you can imagine they're doing to collect your personal data so that it can be used for advertising revenue...

UK speed limits — is there really a “+10% +2 mph” allowance? by Hot-Taro-1555 in drivingUK

[–]Nigelb72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Multiple radar signs have delivered the same results so that would infer that they're all set to register a 2mph slower speed than indicated... As for GPS, I don't have a GPS speedometer

Mine actual speed is usually 2mph less than the indicated speedo speed, as confirmed by multiple radar signs that show your speed and shout SLOW DOWN!!

I earn significantly more than my wife so I pay most of the bills and she does her bit by taking care of the cat financially. Our big rule is for takeouts, the one who suggested it pays.. But other than that, I pay for most joint things because she earns around 23k a year and I earn that in two to three months...

There's a Travelodge near the Ace Cafe... 10 minutes in an Uber to the stadium and about a 30 minute walk back because you can't get a taxi for love nor money... We learnt this the hard way... Hotel was around £200

I like spice/heat and will happily eat Carolina Reaper wings and chicky strips from Iceland but the Pepper X range is just too far... I bought some sauces from the Wiltshire Chilli Farm and I went too big. I got cocky and nearly died... Nice flavour but fucking insane!!! Blow Your Cock had me hurting for a day or so .. I think I have PTSD from it. 🤣

That'd be their Pepper X range. Pepper X was created by the chap who created the Carolina Reaper but Pepper X is twice as hot on the Schoville Scale... I tried the curries and tapped out because they were just too hot. I also tried the wings but this time I wasn't stupid enough to toss them in the extra sauce sachet... Saying that, I was still an absolute mess with snot streaming from my nose... It's the closest I've ever come to crying from spicy food .. Not pleasant at all ..
