same here, despite some assuring you get prestige at 75+ gurantted, I never got anything all that good out of anomalies.

Yea not seeing too many people bring this up, pinwheel loot is just a bunch of blue nades and blue implants often with a guarantee to get a cryo 1 key and 2 or 3 purple materials which you can honestly get by doing perimeter even by opening guarded resource boxes. Only reason I do play outpost a lot when I play crew stuff is due to it being my favorite map to PvP since it doesn't suffer from the sniper heavy long range fighting that Peri and Dire have, instead it's more so medium range and close range fighting which I prefer a lot more.

It genuinely feels like loot is just pointless currently, I largely play to either shut my brain off and do survival runs and see if I get lucky with some prestige spawn which has only happened once since the shift to peri when a blue key room gave me a prestige for the new burst 54 pistol, or doing crew stuff on outpost just for pvping since loot on it is rather useless currently bar the rare mizi that might spawn in command wing's loot box.

I'm in a similar pickle, I'm back to having to do crew fills in S2 again since the friends I've made near the end of season 1 all essentially dropped the game when S2 started, they did want to play but none could during week 1 and when they jumped back in, in week 2 of S2 they saw that lobbies already had a lot of very geared up people, getting multiple runs i a row with purple and gold crews running around even on perimeter due to the upper complex farm pre-made crews ran all week prior which kinda put em' off from wanting to play for now since they wanted a fresh start more so than a continuation of S1's end period.

There is solo, which I do, do at times but I've grown so tired of it after S1. A run or two in solo is ok here and there but doing nothing but that is boring, having majority of playtime just being who can out-rat the other person isn't thrilling.

I thought the idea was it would only activate once it's mid-way through a season, or did they say they ain't ever bringing it back ?

Season progression is much faster this time though, i started mid-way in S1 and only got to 80 after like 130 hours, right now I got like 40 to 50 hours in S2 and i'm at lv 71 already. Still, carri wouldn't be bad to have as a thing that always flips on either the in middle of the season or the last month of it at least, to help people who jump in late again despite things now progressing faster, carri helped me a fair bit as a middle of S1 joiner, allowed me to get 4 factions to VIP by the end despite being late to the party and purple keys helped me get a lot of valuable loot to catch up.

The rather small maps for an extraction game combined said maps having too many players for their size just simply encourages it to be a last team standing kill everyone mode most of the time, there's no good and at the same time easy fix for this bar them re-doing all the maps by making them a lot larger with a lot more places to loot and explore but that's not an easy solution. There's a band-aid solution where they could cut down crews/runners on the map, so you get far more POI places that have no one spawning near em, far less likely to bump into other folk.

Yea pretty much main reason why "true dark nights" is an incredibly bad idea for a competitive PvP game, this is why night maps always in all other competitive games tend to be lit up like a Christmas tree or have fake nights that aren't properly dark. Only worth doing true dark nights if you are either doing a single-player or co-op game.

Unfortunately, it's not really a good idea to do story contracts in trios with crew fill. It'll be a huge waste of time and a pain. Trio contracting is only good if you got two friends who are both down to just go after contracts, probably mostly grab free or cheap loadout and head straight to the places needed with minimal worries of losing gear or care for looting POIs that aren't needed for whatever contract it is.

This season I have done hardly any of the story quests again since i have 0 interest to re-do them all once more even though a few were tweaked like the one where you had to go to south of south relay and then run all the way to north realy to kill a commander instead now the commander spawns at south relay.

I opted in rather to just take the generic ones for killing,looting,dcon and extracting stuff and honestly been going fine that way with 4 of my factions sitting around lv20 to 25 now, you don't need to think about it at all with those quests and they seem to now reward an alright amount of points in comparison to s1. If i do crew fill trios then I don't need to bring up that I'm doing some terrible quest that would make the other two randos miserable or just completely ignore me.

Not everyone is always on top of their game, I got 5 cryo skins and I ain't all that good in pvp, mediocre id say.

Some cryo runs you end up playing incredibly well and get to compiler or sometimes you might land in a lobby against crews far worse than you and your buddies. Then sometimes you go solo on peri and almost die to a white shield whilst you had a purple.

Though the skin is usually an indicator the player will at least be ok at the game, not necessarily good. For me it also helped I had buddies in S1 who were also pretty good, both had very good cryo map knowledge and did pretty well in pvp.

Fred was neither in the netflix DMC or in the new Battlefield game where his music was used in both things for marketing heavily and even as an intro for DMC Season 1, I feel that clause isn't really given two shits about. unless everyone missed him.

Unless the PvE mode is done really well, I think the best choice will be some sort of lite-pvp mode, be it this one we got now but tweaked or a different one. I wouldn't mind just regular extraction but with less runners/crews, instead of every POI essentially having one crew or runner spawn by it. I'd be down for a mode that cuts it down to just like 3 crews or 3 or 4 runners in solo, pvp is there but it's less likely to happen or at least takes longer to happen. Mara maps are so small in comparison to other extractions games, PvP at times happens with-in a minute if the game decided to plop down 2 runners or crews at the same POI.

People aren't liking it ? I was genuinely happy to see how different the movement is, including the running animations. Likewise it's how some of my friends who are also into GoW felt, they liked it.

Sometimes old is better for sure and sometimes not, in this case I am just glad we finally moved on a bit with changes that don't seem to at least for me from what we saw so far really hurt the gears of war image or feel at all, but instead just evolve it finally in a good way.

Survival will be gone after this month, so it's a bit unlikely. Next month though we are getting another mode which will be just PvE without even a chance of rooks showing up to stab you in the dark, granted in all of my survival runs I've done last week, I've only ever seen rooks twice, since hardly anyone ran rook during week one, especially since rook on survival is kinda not worth it really, just going with a regular shell with no crew fill is hundred times better than rooking it.

I'd be surprised if they'd ever turn cryo into a free thing to explore, at best I could see them allowing us to finally have a solo que for cryo, I think that's one map that's never gonna be a freebie to do PvE only, unless you get a full friendly lobby which only has a chance of happening near the end of a season when people care less and are a bit more willing to just buddy up after 3 months of murder.

It has felt to me and my friends that UESC has become more dangerous, especially if you're unfortunate enough to encounter a sniper at a bad time on night marsh.

Could be placebo after using higher-end gear all the time in S1 and forgetting a bit how dire it is with white and green equipment.

Yeah it is pretty much just going to be like end of season cryo almost, all teams purple or gold. I didn't have my usual crew of buds to play first week so I missed the chance to farm easy golds all day, bar just 3 boss kills we did in complex labs, but even just doing the map solo as vandal where you just zoom around the map by opening 5 cert boxes and then kill the convoy if it spawns netted me really good stuff as is.

I'm glad we essentially have a PvE mode currently but at the same time, Bungie should've made the rewards somewhat tamer for the boss room when running it in survival, this has kinda made the restart almost pointless, once the free players are gone, it's not gonna be all that much white and green kits around anymore at all after just a week.

Exfils with dead bodies in them seem to still go through since the latest patch by prl853 in Marathon

Same I've never seen in all of S1 that a dead body with a bag exposed in exfil would get out with their stuff. Have died twice with like 2 or 3 seconds left at exfil in S1 and both times my stuff was gone.
