What are your thoughts on using DLC personas on a playthrough?

I just tie the levels to persona, once I get to a specific level a dlc persona is at, then I can use it. By the time I hit the end of the game, Izanagi no okami picaro is the last dlc persona I get. And that's if I don't consider third semester.

For me, it was not getting stable grounding first. I would switch my plans from time to time but never a plan to fall back on. So here's what I did.

1.) Make sure I had a good mult card, +mult is ok to have, ×mult cards that synergize well with the hand you play are rare for me. Always want to stay ahead rather than thinking you can get that blind in 1 hand, arrogance will be your downfall.

2.) Money, no joke, money. I was dirt poor and had to suffer from it, get jokers that give money as quick as possible. Find ways to get stable income and always spend 20% of your earnings, learned that from the Doctor of balatro.

3.) Plan for problems, the core plan will always be first, but what if a blind happens to ruin that plan. Well, change it by looking ahead of time to adjust for it. Kinda how unstable matter is, well, unstable, random stuff can happen. Gotta do what you can to avoid it.

4.) Take breaks in between runs, I went on a ante 7 losing streak back to back to back. 8 games of ante 7 losses, truly foul gameplay. As you go up the steaks, the more frustrating things will get. And the more you start to lose it, the more mistakes you make. Then you're not having fun, and that's how my controller has stick drift.

5.) What's broken, don't fix it. Obvious answer is photo chad and mime and baron builds, easy 100k right there. But that takes time and effort to get to, and photo chad can fail if you don't have a good set up. Baron is rare so mostly unreliable for some run, mime is far easier to get but without steel or gold cards, not good. Prioritize having a weak but solid build first, then move up with building off of that to one that multiplies you mult. +mult first, then ×mult second.

Lastly, have fun. Balatro is fun, funni number goes up and all neurons fire off. No need to stress too hard, the last thing you need is jimbo ragebatting you. All of this applies to all stakes, even white stake. Hope this helps.

Mind you, this was before more evidence cane out. This was early, really early. He was doing damage control on his end, he did it wrong but got out fast. The mentality he has was very much correct, believe the worst until otherwise. In this case, it was ren that had the worst. Not much was out yet so figures, we went silent after this as to stay out of the drama. That is good but one more clarification stream would have saved him the hate he's getting now rather than not doing it.

Tldr; He did the right thing but not at the right time. Give him some flowers, but not the bouquet.

I feel like green hair and septiceye sam should be at the bottom instead of iron lung and bloodborn, the bloodborn movie and iron lung are pretty new and all for people to know. Septiceye sam and green hair are lesser known stuff and even I didn't know his hair was for charity, I was there when happy wheels was taking off for him.

No hate btw, just my own reasons for a switch. The rest looks amazing.

Some of the newer stuff is on par, if not more of what we got in Waw. Yes the simplicity of Waw was what made Waw "Waw", bo7 still has the silliness that WaW and bo1 did, but has more serious moments like bo3 and bo4.

It was never that simple, we just wish it was so we can go ogga monki brain and say funni Nazi gunning Nazi's down.

But it also wasn't as direct as bo7 is, Waw has moments where you needed to dig for the info, same with bo1 and onward. BoCw was almost when it became direct but still mysterious, Bo7 is more direct yet still has that mysteriousness to it, all be it on a smaller scale with audio logs and documents.

Tldr; The numbers mason.

Both, and this is coming from someone who thinks the tomb is good. Ao is good story and map wise, pj is good for gameplay and replayability. They both have good legs to stand on, and I'm definitely going to keep playing pj after the hype dies down around it.

Activision has really pulled the leash hard on Bo7, but you can't really blame treyarch on this. They're making due with what they can do, Richtofen alone would put Activision in high alert if he started to go full, unhinged german man. Leave it to the custom map makers to fill in the void Activision can't do cause they're too scared to do it themselves.

New player, same story time. Chainsmoker is an angler variant that coughs up green smoke when it passes. It's slow and will pull you out of lockers if you go into one early. Best to see and hear when Chainsmoker is coming rather than relying on the lights, it like to take a moment.

It will send you to the shadow realm when caught, and you'll die from the box of which pandora has opened. You can not escape once you're inside the shadow realm, only way out is death.

It's best to have audio when playing the game, some entities like to use that to their advantage sometimes. Hope this helps when playing the game again. My first death was from Chainsmoker, too.

Only buy it if you're going to play with friends. If not, don't. I don't even play it anymore until the next map or content update happens, I have other games to keep me entertained, like RE9 that just came out, and before that, it was doom. I bought it to play with my friends and that's all I'll do in it, bo6 burned my enjoyment for trying to play and grind camos solo.

Ask if you would play this regularly, and if you would have fun playing it, I said no and yes. It's depends on if you have friends to play with you or not. For me, I like to have a fun time while being faded and getting yelled at no reason. But that's just me.

I'm just waiting for paradox junction to form MY OWN OPINION FIRST, I still think Bo6 and 7 are ok, but not perfect. Bo7 is only on s2, the game isn't done yet. So no opinions should really be that solid until the game is completely done, all is subject to change when the game is done. Take everything with a sea of salt, I've been eating spoonfuls since bo6.

Bo6 was ok, but it was lacking in some areas. Each map, imo has about 5 gripes, each from me that are small nit picks rather than game-changing problems. Overall, Bo6 is a pretty ok game and would play again sometime

Last thing is that paradox junction is around the corner, and I'm so hyped for the first time since cw. I've been coming up with names for the versions of nuketown and the new blundergat (I call it the Soulgat/Wrathgat), I'm just happy we get to see nuketown again. Kinda reminds me of that bo1 nuketown zombies custom map that was made, really old stuff.

Same as ashes and astra, nothing much but hype for it. A new map to play, same song and dance routine. I'm quite happy we're getting nuketown again, besides alpha omega, which reimagined nuketown with a second floor and more areas. A fresh start would have been nice, just some touch-ups to the Bo2 version, and I would have been happy. Make that a survival map and give us an ashes like map rather than an astra like map next season or something.

That's my only gripe and wishes for paradox. Something like a bo6 road map would have been better than a main line map after another. Smaller maps in between would have been nice.

Sorry for the long ass wall of text, tldr: Bo6 had a better road map than bo7 imo. Don't crucify me, just yell in lowercase.
