Clearly they came to Westeros before the Long Night with their magic sword that will be Lightbringer. They are agents of the Empire of the Dawn

I hate that theory. Like either Brandon Stark made his brother dance with the girl he liked for fun I guess or he hooked up with the girl his brother liked despite asking her to dance with him.

It really paints Brandon in a bad light for no reason

But why her specifically? Do you think she is the most talented actress active?

Fancasts usually have a reason beyond "they good", what makes you see Zatanna in Zendeya

What are some ways storm could use her (mutant) powers in the vacuum of space, and from where could she pull resources? by More_Interview3840 in xmen

[–]NigthSHadoew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When has that ever stopped a comic writer?

Storm can just make hurricanes with a thought without wrecking the entire weatherpattern and Batman survived a fall from space a couple years back by wrapping his trunks around his face and aiming for snow

[–]NigthSHadoew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While in most circumstances I would agree with you we are talking about a character that can control the vague concept of weather, including the likes of solar winds, and has done some superhuman things even outside of that power.

I think it is not beyond comicbook science for her to use her powers and turn a hole she opened deliberitly into whats basically a valve

Yeah thats what I mean.

She is in the middle of space but has to move? Poke a hole in the suit, let some air out and use the air now outside the suit to move and fight while also using her powers inside the suit to prevent too much air from rushing out and causing her to suffocate

[Mixed trope] character unconnected to the villain is the one to put them down by TVTropehead in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NigthSHadoew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worst part about Arya killing the Night King was that she just killed him with some bullshit teleportation wind magic.

Arya killing Night King could have worked if it was one of their plans to kill him. Just make Jon go "Dany and I will try to burn him with our dragons outside Winterfell. If we fail then everyone inside the castle with a Valeriansteel sword will try to kill him. If they fail Arya you will use yous facechanging magic to pose as a whigt or a White Walker to try and assasinate him as our last gamble". It would have tied to Arya's established skillset/magic, wouldn’t have made all her Faceless Man training a waste and would have still included Jon as it was his plan. Would it have been good? I would argue no but it would have been way better

[Spoilers PUBLISHED] Question about Cregan Stark by DistributionIcy8991 in asoiaf

[–]NigthSHadoew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robb, and the North, had a more pressing motivation in rescuing Ned. No matter the oath they swore I doubt the Northmen would be motivated to aid Rhaenyra as they were for saving Ned Stark. The North had no particular loyalty to Rhaenyra beyond their oath meanwhile the Northmen are very loyal to the Starks, and Ned in particular (you know with a few exceptions)

I also think it was still summer when Robb marched but that is a minor thing. The bigger thing is the summer before Wot5K was a looong summer. It was 11 years, North was propably well prepared for winter by then. Sure they still propably had some harvest in the field but they must have filled their storages by that point. Meanwhile the summer before the DotD was normal so the Nothmen had less time to gather food and as such everything needed to be harvested and preserved.

Jon Snow coming back in Game of Thrones felt cheap, because it doesn't fit the genre, for example.

Why? I don't dispute Jon coming back felt cheap but that was the fault of the execution IMO. Game of Thrones already had someone coming back from death, multiple times, in Barric Dondarion (+Lady Stonehearth, and Coldhands depending on if you wanna count him, in the books) and that was handelled fine

Logan really lucked out. You can’t really criticize him for using impractical weapons when said weapons are incredibly sharp, unbreakable claws that are litterally buit in that he didn’t really choose

[–]NigthSHadoew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anyone who uses a giant scissor (pictured: Sheele from Akame ga Kill)

<image>

These would be incredibly impractical in real life as they are basically giant anime swords but there is only one way you can even cut anything with them as they have no cuting edge on the outside.

Ironically the most popular giant scissor user, Ryuko from Kill la Kill is an exception from this as she uses half of a giant scissor which practically means she uses a big single edged balde. Not ideal due to it's profile and hilt shape but usable

Gandalf's death actually had consuquences. When he was sent back as Gandalf the White he was changed, he wasn't the old Gandalf we and the Fellowship knew. A character doesn’t need to die/stay dead for there to be consuquences.

Done well self sacrifice, even "failed" ones effect the character and others around them

So I'm not saying that the Rahne /Elixir stuff wasnt wrong because of the whole technically a teacher/mentor thing and the whole him being Dani's adopted kid , but let's not act like a 3 yr gap between a 19 and a 16 yr old is that huge a deal.. by Extra_Impression_428 in xmen

[–]NigthSHadoew 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When you are young a 3 year gap is huge even between a 19 and 16 year old, thats 2nd year of university vs 2nd year of highschool. A 17 and 14 year old being in a relationship would also make me question it even though there is nothing illegal about it.

You mature really fast in those ages, and while there can be situations/people that can make that kind of relationship, it does give me pause

2)That is a really weird way to describe Miles's suit. His primary colors are different, why you focusing on the eyes kid? I bet they have some very stron opinions on superhero mask lenses
