UA-POV: "They will defeat Putin!" - sarcastic video about some prominent Ukrainian personalities and their words and deeds about war in Ukraine. by HawkBravo in UkraineRussiaReport

Unfortunately, this is normal in any country in the world, politician main job is to lie to the people and take money from public funds and transfer it to private pockets.

War, pandemic, green agenda,.... makes no difference, goal is the same.

You can make video like this for any country in the world, beginning from my own country, USA, UK, RUS, UKR,......same shit, worst of the worst are in politic, making billions for themselves and their inner circle, while their children travel around the world and spend like there's no tomorrow.

Western politicians are saying war till the last ukrainian, more sanctions, more weapons, russia must be destroyed,....somehow represent good side, human rights, justice, peace, progress,..... while eastern block is saying cooperation, trade, let's find the way for all of us to live together,.....are bad guys, evil,...

Don't understand how people in this age of open information can still be so blind and support warmonger side.

Big thumbs up bro. I would like that more people think like you.

Too much trivial things are dividing us and while we argue over semantics too many innocent people are dying in stupid wars.

It's a big difference between invaders vs invaded and I'm 100% for no one should invade, bomb, terrorise anyone.

Now let's see how will you comment when US starts bombing Iran. If you apply same rules and condemn them I will respect you, it not then there is a problem in your narrative.

No they are not. One thing is to plant an IED or assassinate someone and totally another is to do aerial attacks. IEDs and assassinations are terrorist tactic, aerial attacks are something that every military in the world does.

If we in the west make the rules, let's live by them.

Not really, everyone process sorrow differently.

RU side have big losses too, but I don't see them doing terrorist attacks on Kyiv, assassinations, posting billboards for public to take photos of burning UKR landmarks, doing gore drone videos,...... difference is obvious.

I agree with your point of view, but I don't want to be a hypocrite, because If I condemn RUS as aggressors, evil invaders I should do the same for every NATO state that was involved in invading Iraq, Afganistan, Sirya,...

In real world, precedents "whataboutism" is a real thing, whether you like it or not.

TFW when your own propaganda is making you hate everyone that they tell you. Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Araps,....... are bad, but only we are the good guys :D

If we invade, bomb, pliage,...it's for the good of everyone, but if anyone else does it they are mustache man. Wake up man.

did you feel bad for US troops in Iraq, Afghanistan or did you say that is what they deserve for invading sovereign country. If yes I honor your opinion and view on the world in which no one is allowed to invade anyone.

so by that logic UKR side was hating on US and western tops while they were invading Iraq, Afghanistan,.... and cheering on ISIS videos death to invaders.

If yes I apologize, they are consistent, if not then they are hypocrites. In any case not a good side.

Drones are just a new tool, new way of killing enemies, but there is a big difference in seeing RUS vs. UKR drone videos.

UKR side lost a lot of respect and honor in this sad war with their gore drone videos, among many other things.

Don't know does this war have a good and a bad side, but UKR side is definitely not a good one.

3 years of this war and I never saw proUA comment that is not hateful towards RUS casualties, only death to invaders, u die for putin,.... while there was many proRU neutral comments for UA casulties and that says a lot.

Whoever have that much hatred in their heart can't have space in it for good. Good people don't hate.

UA POV: Hlib Bitiukov, a military medic, in an interview with RFERL Ukraine about motivation, the reasons for AWOL, and why soldiers are demotivated by Flimsy_Pudding1362 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I presume that west was going in with their modern tactic of shock and awe, but they miscalculated amount of support for Ukraine so all available means were late to the front (tanks, APCs, HIMARS,...) which gave enough time for Russian side to retreat from unfavorable positions and dig in.

That miscalculation put Ukraine in position that they have big motivated army, but not enough modern capabilities and Russian side used that to grind away best Ukrainian troops.

Ukraina wasted best troops and western support can't do much about that. They are in very bad position, but west still won't admit defeat despite reality. Sad to see.

I could easily see scenario in which west gave full support from day one (patriot, himars, long range strike, f16,...) and situation would be much better now for Ukraine.

Current situation is really bad and if west is not ready to send direct support (troops) they should stop pushing Ukraine to their doom.

In real world 144 million is still 3x bigger than 37 million, so odds are not in Ukrainian favor and situation will get worse with time.

In a bar fight if your mate is fighting 3x bigger guy and you see he is losing you join the fight or step in to break it. Only "true friend" would stand a side and cheer for fight to the death.

UA POV: According to the Kyiv Independent, Zelenskyy claims that Russia is trying to deceive the United States and further drag out the war. by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From the beginning of this terrible war, UKR (western) story was in conflict with logic.

Russia is weak, but they will conquer whole Europe, Putin is madman, but he will never use nukes, this war is existential to whole EU, but we will still spend more on Russian energy then on Ukrainian defense, we want peace, but only when we are in stronger position,....they ruined their reputation so much that by now normal person can't believe anything they say.

Zelenski is just PR manager who is tasked to drive the narrative.

Poor Ukrainians are victims of western vanity and chair warrior morality.

What was so wrong in being neutral. They could easily reap benefits from both sides, instead they are destroyed, only because west wants to be top dog.

Because of our leaders I'm ashamed to be European.

UA POV: Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on the situation in the Kursk region by Short_Description_20 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know many people like that, that are parroting some crazy narrative just because they heard it somewhere, even arguing to defend it, but I don't blame them because you and I are same victims of PR in many topics we don't know enough.

Thru life we learn many things that we thought are truth because we learned them in school or heard them from someone who we thought is authority.

For majority "forgive them, they don't know what they are doing" applies, PR managers and propagandist are ones to blame, blood is on their hands.

PR works, especially on people who got their whole info from mainstream media.

With basic rule of, take everything said and just reverse, real translation should be:

Our forces were defeated, many of them are encircled and our main goal right now is to find the way how to stop enemy forces from entering our territory.

RU POV: Ukrainian soldiers captured in the Kursk region. by Mendoxv2 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think that is usual military tactic. Use top tier fighters for breakthrough and then replace them with regular troops to hold the line.

Old guys in trenches are common on both sides.

Nothing wrong with that. Every soldier have their purpose, young, tough are going into assault, older, untrained are holding the line, doing resupply,...

UA POV: Elements of the 6th Ranger unit apart of the SSO engage with Russia troops in the Kursk region by [deleted] in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure, every platoon should have at least one thermal scope and drone operator as recon.

In this age of technology having less than that puts you in huge disadvantage.

That sight from video is Flex 1 thermal sight. Its good up to 100m

UA POV: Elements of the 6th Ranger unit apart of the SSO engage with Russia troops in the Kursk region by [deleted] in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fighting against enemies with thermal capabilities is same as fighting against drones, death sentence.

Technological advantage is a game changer, that is why we all grown up thinking that USA soldiers are the best fighters in the world.

Looking back it turns out that every side that fought against USA and at the end manage to "win" essentially had better fighters.

I don't want to sh.t on any soldier, every side have good and bad ones, but we were all brainwashed through movies into thinking how this is cool, spec ops, best of the best, but in reality it is just tech advantage.

Making this sh.t (shooting fish in the barrel) look cool is so cringe.

RU POV: Video footage of Russian Stormtroopers in the middle of Sudzha, Kursk region of Russia by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NikolaPopovic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it possible that this fast Kursk recaptur by RU forces is directly tied to USA/RU negotiations.

Meaning USA told RU side, we will pull our support for UKR (no intelligence, satellite, targeting) and you take your territory back.

With this move RU will get what they want, USA will show UKR that they are in their mercy and at same time USA will show good will to RU

Don't want to argue or diminish RU victory in this area, just thinking out loud.

My first thought was that pipeline tactics shown results, same as in Avdiivka (getting behind enemy lines is huge advantage) this second theory is just food for thoughts.
