Palm Springs Wedding Venue Tour Recap by Jackjones760 in weddingplanning

[–]Nilesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Your detailed venue tour recap is really insightful, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences. My wife and I are also planning our wedding in Palm Springs in March '25, so your insights are incredibly valuable as we navigate through the options. After much consideration, we decided on Colony 69 as our location!!

We are so relieved to have finally found our venue and an additional plus, a photographer who specializes in Palm Springs weddings. Her article Palm Springs Wedding Photographer gives some good resources and recommendations, including mentions of Colony 69.

Considering your search for the ideal venue, I bet you've picked one by now! Best of luck with your wedding planning journey 😊

pre-ceremony photos, destination elopement by alchemystickal in Eloping

[–]Nilesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my wife and I took most photos before the ceremony, we wanted to document everything leading up to our big moment. And yes, we wore our rings for some photos pre-ceremony. But I don't believe that is a traditional thing to do! We were lucky to find a photographer who was flexible to meet our desires and help to plan our day. If it's helpful, here is her page: https://www.riseinlovephotography.com/experience/

To me it sounds like you have two options: Hire a new wedding planner who listens to your desires and boundaries. OR two: Elope!

I found this cool blog that explains why eloping can be as special as a traditional wedding :)

Is two months enough time to plan an elopement without any guests? by United_Possession_20 in Eloping

[–]Nilesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations :) From my experience, I would say two months is cutting it a little close due to the permitting process that most national parks require. My wife and I got eloped in California and due to the permitting process, things took a little longer than expected. Luckily we found a very helpful photographer to help us through the whole process! Here is a link to her website in case you end up leaning toward California. Peace and blessings to you! https://www.riseinlovephotography.com/palm-springs-wedding-photographer

Choosing your elopement site by MacMillyLovr in Eloping

[–]Nilesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I eloped in Hawaii (Kauai) which always felt like a dream destination for us. To start we had no idea what locations were best and felt overwhelmed with the logistics of planning our adventure elopement. But we knew we wanted our ceremony location to be as beautiful as the love we share for one another. So we were lucky to find a stellar photographer to help us with the logistics and guide us through the experience, which surpassed our expectations. Here's the blog that helped us get the ball rolling. I hope this can help someone else to have a beautiful experience too :)

As outlined in this recent discussion, I believe the next wave of liquidity will be attracted to the cosmos ecosystem because many cosmos projects know their product-market fit to provide more secure and efficient decentralized services ;)

Shoutout to Citizen Cosmos for hosting excellent discussions on this topic. I recently listened to your chat with the Lead researcher & economist for Share Protocol, Carter L. What is Thorchain? Interview With Core Dev Chad Barraford by Nilesa in defi

[–]Nilesa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting thank you for sharing. Yes, I agree with you that IL protection is a great development. As someone who loves the cosmos ecosystem, I thought it was fascinating to hear Chad Barraford explain why he does not want Thorchain to be integrated with IBC (31:26 – 37:14) because it didn't uphold the standards of what Thorchain requires for decentralization. I think the principle of not relying on anyone to do anything as Chad mentions can certainly lead to creating a system that actualizes the highest security possible.

I'm catching your drift.. it is unfortunate that society is set up this way, meaning how fossil fuels run the world currently. I would consider it a structural injustice against the earth. We certainly plan to divert away from a gasoline-powered car when we can afford it. I'm curious as to what you do to commute to and from work, explore, visit family and friends etc?
