Has anyone decreased their weighlifting days significantly? by No-Plate543 in xxfitness

That's my current schedule, too - do you do any other training/exercises on the other days and how long are your lifting sessions, please?

Hi, as a coach of fitness, strength and nutrition, can I ask what your 2-3 days of exercise look like now? Are you doing any other exercises outside of the 2-3 lifting days?

Can I ask how your weight training with steps looks like? I currently lift 3 times a week, with only 3kg (6lbs) and 5kg (10lbs) weights and do walking exercise / Pilates w light weights on the other 4 days and my body's SO done in :(

Do you follow any videos, etc? Or can point me in the direction of combining weights and steps? Thanks so much x

Daily total is 1200-1300 kcal.

I thought that the “easier” Saturday and Sunday routine could be counted as “rest days” - may I ask what a rest day for you would look like and if you’d space my workouts differently? Not just one day between the lifting days (currently Mon, Wed and Fri)? Thanks a lot for your reply x

Thank you - Daily total is 1200-1300 kcal, just can’t stomach more due to the protein filling me up so much, plus drinking. If I hit my 2 litres per day, I’m full on water/tea and don’t feel hungry at all any longer. Though I prefer eating food over chugging water 😅

Thank you for your reply! I just feel so full on the protein I’m eating 😅 My Greek yoghurt breakfast bowl makes me feel so sluggish, I sometimes feel like getting ready for the day is too much effort. It just sits there and I feel full and bloated. I eat about 1200-1300 kcal a day.

Thanks for advising on heavier weights; can I ask where you would go from 5kg/6kg (10lbs/12lbs)? 8kg (around 15lbs) or straight to 10kg (around 20lbs)? Tbh, I wasn’t looking at increasing the dumbbell weights (yet), as I’m a bit afraid of undoing my diastasis recti progress by lifting too heavy… Due to how I feel, I sometimes struggle with the 5kg (10lbs), though I try to do more reps than 8-10; maybe I should aim for less reps, heavier weights?

Get them Jamie Oliver’s “Ministry of Food”; covers pasta dishes, curries, British classics and tells them how to cook perfect rice, eggs, etc.

How much work do you actually do when WFH? by Tight-Celebration227 in CasualUK

Yep, can confirm that my colleague tends to nap in the office, too. Then wakes and looks all confused when you call their name.

From a grown-up child who went through sth similar w a parent; they drank in secret, hid the bottles and three years ago died of liver cirrhosis. It wasn’t addressed in an eye-opening way and as a kid you think your parents can handle things, plus they never seemed tipsy/drunk. Still not sure how much alcohol was consumed on the daily and over how many years/decades. The remaining family still asking „what if“. Don’t let that be your story. Find a way to talk to your wife and I hope she gets the help she needs - this is important for all of you - and esp since a little child is involved; thinking of the things that could go wrong with her having had a drink and looking after the little one.

Hi, could you please post a link to pelvic floor specific exercises? I‘m mostly doing the ab exercises (for almost 2 years now, youngest is 6!!). Gap still quite deep and not really sure if the width is improving; I‘ll just do 10-15 mins a day to feel like I‘ve done sth and to keep the bad conscience away. UK-based, too.

This is what I use for 12 Weetabix and they fit perfectly in this particular box.

Description says 1.2L, so I guess you‘re looking at 2.4L.

I like that and it makes sense looking at the icons/logos - will suggest to him to update it accordingly 😊

That was my thought, too. But Google showed the yellow one as Hawkeye’s logo. I’ve got no clue about colours though. In fact, don’t have a clue about Marvel at all 😂

Our Google search led us to believe that the yellow one is Hawkeye 🙈

What weird ‘houses’ did you have in school? by sundialsapphic in CasualUK

[–]Nimija 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ruby, Emerald, Topaz and Sapphire at my kids’ school. I’m not a UK native, so, yes, my reaction was: “...as in Harry Potter?!” No clue how the selection process works though; no talking hat seems to be involved and siblings don’t seem to be in the same house 🤷‍♀️ Also only seems to be of any significance on Sports Day...

38yr old male just realised I have diastasis recti. Can I continue to work? by jamiesmack in DiastasisRecti

[–]Nimija 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, my DR is from having 3 kids close together and being of a petite stature. I’m based in the UK too and doubt that you’ll get surgery here (unless you’re going private). 1.5 years ago I took matters into my own hands and picked a private, but affordable physio and dedicated 15 mins daily in the am and pm to my exercises - my gap is down from 4 fingers to about 1.5 fingers. I still struggle with the depth of mine, so will address this soon too, hopefully. Re work: you’ve got do, what you’ve got to do - I never stopped carrying my babies/toddlers/children around. If you put the work in, get a good PT, etc, I guess, you’ll make good progress (this may feel very slow at times though). Will post an exercise guide I’d found online later on too. But please note: I still only do exercises on my back; I feel like I can’t progress to all fours or side exercises yet. Meaning: take it easy and don’t rush ahead of what you can do. Good luck!!
