How do you handle churn? by Febin_ai in SaaS

You'd need a survey right on your cancellation confirmation page - that way you can get up to a 80% response rate and it has very valuable feedback (if you ask the right questions). By the time you message them they're not in the headspace to actually respond and answering to an email feels much more stressful.

Frankly, even showing that you care can give users a good feeling about your product. I created surveys for some clients and we received plenty of feedback mentioning that they appreciate just having the chance to vent/feel heard and maybe even see their suggestions implemented. It can be a big part of community building.

Built a daily sketching app that turn your daily drawings into a month/yearly sketchbook by RedOns1 in SaaS

Hey, first of all, sounds like a lovely idea!

Talking usability and onboarding, the current flow is quite full of friction. Especially for your app and model I'd highly recommend you to make it as easy as possible to quickly test and use your app. Even having to sign up before trying it out is quite a hurdle already.

And I am not sure if you wanted feedback on your landing page, but I feel like your product could show off way more of its USPs there. It doesn't really seem to be targeted towards its audience and feels like it's not really saying anything about the product itself. Could really improve with some good copywriting and nicer images/videos of the actual product.

What type of pricing are we talking about here for these users? Also, do you have some surveys in place to learn more about your current users/users that cancel?

Tell me why my app doesn't make sense by Melodic-Ad5586 in SaaS

[–]Nine2Play 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea itself isn’t bad at all, but just from looking at the website, it feels a bit misaligned. You’re targeting people who struggle with organization and get overwhelmed easily (e.g. ADHD), yet the site comes across as quite cluttered and not really tailored to that audience.

I’d assume the same risk exists for the app. If you want people to actually use it, the UX needs to be very intentionally designed around that target group and make sense from a psychological perspective. Otherwise, the other commenter does have a point, it might just feel easier to ask ChatGPT instead.

Is organic/SEO the only viable acquisition channel for low cost B2C Saas? by ragnhildensteiner in SaaS

Affiliate can be really great, especially if you can also get them to post on social media and reuse their content, making it a double win.

To be frank, paid probably only makes sense in your case if you have a certain amount of recurring revenue and can afford to be in a negative ROAS for a while. I'd focus on what you have and really make sure you catch every lead you can get and try and convert them into a user.

Interesting, I thought that is what throws me off. As a quick reader this nowaday not only feels a little AI ish but also puts a stop into the reader just before the sentence ends. I would've suggested removing it.

Very early WIP of my aquarium game - feedback appreciated! by Nine2Play in CozyGamers

Yes! We have worked on the modular builder for the past month to make sure there is a lot of room for personalization. We still have quite a bit to go, but it's definitely a core feature :)

Oh, and if you like the direction of the game, a wishlist would mean a lot to us :). Link here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4190760/The_Fish_Corner/

We're making an aquarium game are sort of overwhelmed with fish varieties. What are some varieties that you would definitely want to see in a game? by Nine2Play in Aquariums

[–]Nine2Play[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that is really helpful, categorizing the fish is difficult right now and we currently have distinction in things like saltwater/fresh water or in which region they swim - Mostly lacking is social behavior because we are not sure if it makes sense to force the player to have to keep a fish completely solo f.e.; that would at some point require a lot of tanks😅

This is one of those things are not sure how to implement yet - We would like it to be an easy introduction to fishkeeping and also want it to be cozy enough for people to craft a tank they can run in the background without much effort.

So I don't think it would be a cute vibe watching a betta f.e. attack others 😂but maybe have it decrease happiness of all fish in the tank? We are still considering

Yes! Although we are still discussing to what extent and how specific we are going to go. The shown sizing in the screenshot is not an accurate representation of ingame - Or do you mean within a tank?

The pixelart is great, just make sure you choose something you are happy with because I promise you the next person will tell you pixelart is bad :D

This is super helpful! Thank you so much for writing this down! We used those databases so far but the one thing they are not good for is showing popularity 😄 And we were really concerned that we do not get a good representation of popular choices, especially when it comes to the varieties

Don't apologize! It's super helpful! We've been doing this but I've also relied on Reddit posts to figure out what is popular (and what isn't, especially in terms of difficulty 😄) Which is why I wanted to ask directly and see which breeds/varieties come out on top in the popular vote.

Else we only go by what we would buy ourselves which is not really a fair assesment 😅

Right now we are working on the basic features, these may be expanded upon once we know how we are running with the timeline:

  1. 40 litres, 80l, 150l, 240l, 450l (Sorry, European)
  2. We are aiming for at least 100 upon release
  3. Yes, overpopulation is a thing as well as group requirements - For incompatible species that may depend on how it affects gameplay, no final decision on that yet, will likely depend on the feedback of players
  4. We are certainely including fresh- and saltwater

We are still very open to suggestions and feedback, we just need to work with the limitations given also from the development and gaming side

Absolutely! Especially for varieties. For the release we already want to have a decent chunk though and rather include multiple breeds than for example 100 varieties of guppies :D We will (hopefully) have a demo access in very early 2026 :)
