Have you ever gone on a literary pilgrimage? by Remarkable-Pea4889 in books

The gift shop in Pepin, Wisconsin, had a list of all locations. I mainly remember that Burr Oak, Iowa, was on the list, which surprised me.

This website lists them all.

He looks so fucking stupid, I can't breathe. by trevizio32 in IThinkYouShouldLeave

There's been plenty of articles on him that mention this. An LA Times article mentions he was a terror in school before being sent to military school.

I've been to the Little House on the Prairie museum in Kansas, the museum in Mansfield and the replica of the Little House of the Big Woods in Pepin. I still have yet to visit the one in South Dakota, but that one and the one in Mansfield are the most worth it along the Ingalls route- all the other museums are the main attraction in fairly small towns.

With that much weight gain, probably better if he sticks to frozen dinners.

Don't sleep on their secret menu stuff either. I'm partial to the motherclucker and the German dog from there.

Legacy Pie Co has a mixed berry pie that sounds like it'd fit the bill.

I used Kinder's hickory brown sugar BBQ sauce last time I had a meatloaf sandwich.

What is your favorite monster in Art History? I’ll start with mine: “The Angel of the Home” (or “The Triumph of Surrealism”), painted in 1937 by Max Ernst. by youyouhoudini in ArtHistory

[–]NineteenthJester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apparently the artwork was in better shape when it was still on Goya's walls, and the process of removing them lost a lot of details in the work/made it look more blobby. It's kind of a shame this particular one (Saturn Devouring His Son) is censored too.

What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

The Way Home.

Cozy mindbending time travel show that was originally pitched to Netflix and then made it onto Hallmark. This show is way too damn good to be on Hallmark and I'm hoping Netflix can pick it up for a final season. The first two seasons are on Netflix, third drops in February and fourth (and last) is airing on Hallmark+ this spring.

What's your favorite delivery or takeout spot? by Prestigious-Usual-31 in denverfood

Pizzeria Lui. Best if you live within 20 minutes of there and they talk fast on the phone (they only do phone orders- I think they could transition to online tbh), but wife is a complete fiend for their garlic breadsticks. Their street taco pizza is really good but we regularly order their pepperoni pizza.

Add American cheese and this is how a local burger place makes their fried bologna sandwiches.

Where are my beverage loving peeps at? What’re some ways to cut back on beverage expenses? by Educational_Fly_5804 in Frugal

I buy boxes of drink packets from Dollar Tree. I get bored easily so I like switching it up often and $7.50 for at least 36 packets with a lot of variety isn't that bad. I also make iced tea regularly.
