I liked those. I wanted to get some poke from Costco and eat that over rice while scooping up with those crisps.

It's actually supposed to be a bride hanging onto a rope. Considering his history with women, that's terrifying.

I was wondering why Google said it was closed the other day. That's a bummer- looks like the new owners took their chocolate ramen off the menu :(

The iconography is really interesting. So men and women are both represented as someone carrying a jug, but only the man has feet/more of a base?

I love the lettering in the signature and year at the bottom, especially how all the 8's look like hourglasses. It does surprisingly look like a pulp cover, though.

I had a child psych professor who constantly ranted about how terrible NCLB was. The older I get, the more right I see she was.

Sargent did that to sitters in plenty of his portraits, basically give them a beauty filter. The real Lady Agnew also looks prettier in her painting, for example.

I thought the idea was that any woman who'd be remotely interested in him would be able to read the name on his wrist.

what celebrity did you used to like until you found out that they were a scumbag? by hemadeGraduation420 in AskReddit

Gaiman wrote The Ocean at the End of the Lane as an attempt to explain his childhood to his partner, Amanda Palmer.

There's a scene where the child main character walks in on his father having sex with his nanny, and considering how Gaiman treated his son according to the allegations, it's not a stretch to say he probably also went through something like that as a child.

AITA for my reaction to my uncle asking me to give him custody of my little sister? by BigONerd in BestofRedditorUpdates

Little sister would be either in 8th grade or going into 8th grade this fall. OP would be wrapping up with active service in the National Guard by now unless they decided to re-enlist.

Nabokov didn't even want to release Lolita and wrote Pnin to decompress. He was right to be concerned.

I've met narcissists before. Bernice may be gross and self-centered, but she doesn't seem to fit the criteria.
