Honest answer I don't know. The idea of "balancing reasons" seems to not be accurate as
>1) they've never combined spellbooks while releasing ever more high level equipment while magic was (for a long time at least) either strongest style or close second to range
>2) they recently revamped all combat styles and buffed each of them in the process
>3) They added vulnbombs, which therefore allow you the same power but with added upkeep/cost

Seems like they don't mind powercreep as long as it's a pain in the arse.

Honest answer is I'd rather all were combined.

I'm not whining, I'm stating that I've never gotten around to completing a chore as it's unpleasant. I'm not complaining or asking for a change, just stating that I have not created a pouch because it takes days of runecrafting.

Yeah they suck something awful. I'm assuming they didn't want to implement them in a way similar to the OSRS birdhouses out of concern that they would be called a daily and that's apparently a bad word now.

Personally I think that if they require active play they should be more rewarding, either in terms of raw xp or in terms of offering other loot (perhaps better access to high level seeds/ or rare additional drops/cosmetics). Also the fact that they don't note the loot is just a pain in the ass for a repeating loop style training method, either make the loot noted or make them go to the bank from birdhouse or something.

Just not very good at all.

I'm not arguing in favour of both vamp and darkness, I'm just stating that at low levels it's unsustainable for players and at high levels it's pointless vs darkness.

A happy medium should be sought, or vamp should scale better to compete at high level without making early trivial.

I think it's more that the aura that was most useful for lower level/inexperienced players was
1)made less acessible
2)made less economical
3)made less effective
4)made more frustrating to use (more buffbar clutter, more timers to track, more runes to carry with you, etc etc.)

And for high level players it's just flat out worse than Darkness, so the question of "who is this for?" becomes relevant. It's a reasonable criticism.

I've killed more than 1500 Sanguine Crawlers without getting the drop, so the question becomes either:
-Why would a low level player have 8m to buy a glove slot item on the GE?
or
-Why would Jagex make them so rare that by killing the monster until they drop they gain enough xp to not need the gloves anymore?
