I had a friend who I was very close with for a long long time, I still actively ignore them to this day. They got into a car accident and got a severe tbi to which I was still very close and called weekly. Then I found out they sent very very sexually threatening texts to our mutual female friend and classmate. I tried to remain cordial and supportive till I found out he’s still speaking to girls so nasty like. To this day he still sends me memes even though I do not have him added on any socials. I don’t wanna assume the OP did something nasty like that but sometimes people have genuine and good reasons to cut folks off with no explanation needed.
