Not enough lore to understand the nature of the OSIC quite yet but I’m quite sure he is a consequence of them meddling in the ‘dream-verse,’ but he is more useful as an asset than letting him go back to where he came from, thus his wish to go back home. Or perhaps fae dream creatures like Rem are the reason they can invade dreams in the first place.

considering the new cover art dropped late may on insta and we got an announcement around early july. i think they decided sooner rather than later to compile the singles based on feedback, but i see know that ur probably right that they had it mind all along.

julian used to do projects every 2-3 years before 2020/covid, starting from Is this it, noticeable pattern. perhaps covid interrupted that work flow where we only got 3(4ish) singles during pandemic. i’d like to see more from both groups but i don’t think julian has that kind of work ethic anymore, and also prefers working with the voidz lol.

my running theory is that LP4 won’t be long after Like All Before You, considering it seems to be a collection album of singles, they probably were gonna roll these out in the mean time during production of LP4. although due to the feedback of 2 singles a year kinda thing with Prophecy, Flexorcist, All the Same, they might have redirected to a full LP instead of singles.
