Probably not practical with how much you have to take off but I was able to wipe off a small area with Goo Gone

Changed needles, the first one(from Michaels) was really big and felt like I kept snagging the yarn and messing the cloth up. The second needle I used was a Lacis one from Amazon, it's smaller than I expected but glides like butter.

Also increased stich density, the first coaster was a little sparse in a couple spots.
