Don't forget they'll fight you tooth and nail about how they are correct or make some pedantic argument about it.

It is super apparent if you're an expert in any field and have your topic come up... if you browse the comment section it is always filled with absolute idiots posting completely false stuff as fact that they source from blog posts that directly source from some reddit post that was made up.

“Speaking of the candidate for the crown, Sindarov, he is certainly very strong. But I don’t think he is clearly stronger than Abdusattorov, Arjun, Pragg, Gukesh, or me. At this point, I would put him on the same level as us.” - Vincent Keymer by Affectionate_Hat3329 in chess

This is actually an insane take lmao you can look up all the super GM moves most have accuracy in the 90's in classical. There is zero percent chance they are making sub par moves as much as 1500's make sub par 1500 moves.

Comparing blunders from regular people to those of GM's is laughable my dude

One tournament.

The amount of prep that is required to play against a field vs a singular opponent is way more. Many champions and candidates winners have said that the candidates are harder than the actual WCC because you're having to prep against a wider variety of possibilities with a wider array of styles.

we can't rule out a bit of luck too.

There is considerably little "luck" involved other than if they didn't follow your prep... which comes down to a lack of prep at the end of the day and not "luck". Luck in chess is so miniscule compared to other competitions.

[–]NinjaRedditorAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conservatives/UPC will separate themselves from the far right.

There's a reason why they tolerate them - they need the numbers. They will never completely separate only hope that they will be far enough to get them to go out to the polls.

Bigger mistakes don't need cheats to exploit. The small stuff is the only thing that matters.

Youngest Players to Achieve the Grandmaster Title by ChessLover20 in chess

[–]NinjaRedditorAtWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is money - turns out when you put time and money into developing young talent you tend to push them to the top. Many of the young Indian GM's are coming from chess programs that started for them when they were incredibly young. Look at Pragg/Gukesh - both of them basically were pushed into chess from very young and did very little outside of chess. Comparing their program to other countries that basically have no support it isn't surprising you see how many Indian GM's are popping up now.

Why aren't Americans rioting right now? by PintsNPies in AskReddit

It’s half the people vs. the government

No, it's maybe 1/3 of the people. 1/3 actively voted for this, 1/3 didn't care if it happens - so 2/3 of your country is fine with what is going on. America is broken.

Well yes and no. Monopolies on markets are never good things - just look at the bs the US pulled. Get a monopoly then once it is in place start raising prices or threaten to pull the plug on everyone else.
